Rome Agent Snowboard - 2007

The Rome Agent Snowboard gives you the soft, buttery feel that riders like Jussi Tarvainen, Marius Otterstad, and Will Levigne crave for park kickers and rails. A hand-painted topsheet on this snowboard gives you a one-of-a-kind shred machine. Rome gave the Agent a Superpop Core and with a StraightTriax 30 carbon laminate layer, delivering a soft, smooth flex for riders who like pop and butter in their park recipes. The slightly directional twintip shape lets you clear that table with a cab seven. Full-wrap edges protect your deck from evil scuffy kinks, and when it's time to charge hard at the big hits, the SinterSpeed base runs like a bat out of hell.

Bottom Line: Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to shred the park on the Rome Agent Snowboard.

Rome Agent: An instant classic

By:

The board rides really really really well. I went with a 156 instead of my usual 158-162 for all mtn or 152-154 for jibbing. The middle of the road I figured made the most sense. What I found was that this board does a lot of things really really well. The light core lets it spin like nobody's business while the impact plates really help with the landings. The carbon laminate and core profile creates some serious pop while also letting me rail down the hill. Buttering is ridiculously easy on this board, ridiculously easy.

Setting the board on edge is easy and the board is super stable at speed. I expected it to ride more like a door at speed, but it rode icy groomers like a champ!

My only quibble was as I spun it, my edges seemed to catch a lot easier than I would expect for a park board. Of course I did a really shitty job detuning them, so I attribute it mainly to that and the fact that the swing weight is really low so I was probably over spinning.

Overall it's definitely a park board that rides all mountain well (say 65% park, 45% mtn) but for the average soul, you would never know that it couldn't shine maching some GS turns.

I have to say at this price, it's hard not to say yes to the Agent.

This board is sick! It's lite, has crazy pop and is soft enough to butter with while still bieng stiff enough to freeride with. Great board for overall freestyle domination hands down.it's great on rails and kickers and is good in the backcountry pow too. One of the most versatile boards i have owned for sure and one of my favorites! if you want a board that is exceptional in the park, pow and everywhere else on the mountian go with the rome agent.

This thing is TIGHT! It looks amazing. I got this with some Rome 390s gold/rust and it looks so SEXY!

The girls love this thing, i hooked up with a bunch of hottys at boyne mt in michigan and let me tell ya...this thing is a chick mag! Get the Rome 390 gold bindings and a Analog Boundary Jacket draken cactus with white Burton snowpants and you look like a pro!

Rides the rails slick and nice, works amazing on the rainbow and shotgun. Box's are great on this also. This thing is slick in the air, i can easily do a 360 on this badboy it turns so easy in midair!

The board Rocks

By:

I had the same board for 3 years and used an old on before that I just got this one for Christmas and I love it. I could only get 360s before no matter how much air I got I couldnt get that final push to get the 540. First day of the year out on the slops on my second run went off a nice over pass jump and tried a 360 and i found i had done it before I was even half way to my landing to I kept spinning and actualy landed a 540. This board is so fricken light trust me on that it took me about 2 weeks of hard riding and jibbing on trees to get it nice a flexible like I like my boards but thats normal time. Also people say this is an all mountain board but it isnt. Its a perfect board. It can do terrain parks a rip it up with Japan airs and spins an my best friend even landed a flip with his. But you can also rip it up on the glades and pow pow with this board. I give it a 5 thumbs up.
