Rome Slash Snowboard - Wide - 2008

Whether you’ve got the park locked, or jib the entire mountain, the Rome Wide Slash Snowboard cuts down the opposition and takes flight. Rome’s lightweight Superpop core flexes consistently and pops like a bulbous pimple, so you can jib comfortably all over the mountain. The Slash handles rail abuse thanks to wide edges that enable you to spread your mustard all over town. Rome added impact plates under your feet to improve the Riff’s anti-compression protection and reduce the impact and potential damage from harsh landings. An almost-twin shape combines with the Riff’s medium-flex profile to enable all-mountain marauding when you’re not shredding the park.

Bottom Line: The Rome Slash Snowboard delivers more pop per square inch than the 80s section in your local record store.

i love my agent i have had for 2 seasons, but i now have size 11 boots, the transitional size where i could go wide or stay regular. i decided to try out the slash. I have only strapped it on indoors but it feels just like my agent, only wider. From experience with my agent, these boards soften up a lot, and it already has nice flex and great pop. looking for a great season this year. by the way:
I am 5'9"
190 lbs
size 11 boot and i ride a 156 agent and now a 158 slash

Awesome Step Up

I have a size 13 boot so my selection choices were limited when I was looking to upgrade at the beginning of the 08/09 season. Then my local shop mentioned the Slash as a good All Mountain board that would have more flex than my Gnu Carbon High Beam.

This board was definitely worth the money! It's lighter, and has more edge to edge flex without compromising it's ability to fly down the mountain with stability.

this board kills it everywhere.. but really shines when you use the mountain as your park.. 2 seasons on the same board, from jumps to jibs and deep pow it does it all.. even though its not a twin tip it rides switch just fine.. has a soft flex to it and will pop off jumps with ease.

want more reviews just look into an agent cuz this is the wide version..

158 with size 12 boots..
