Rome Anthem Snowboard

Rome built the directional Anthem Snowboard for riders who want a kick-ass high-end board that can stick with them no matter where they tear it up. If you start off the day by throwing down hard in the park but may end up hucking yourself off a backcountry cliff before last chair (or vice versa), then here's your board. The Anthem's Airpop Core Matrix core with glass and carbon laminate kills it in edge-to-edge transitions and decreases the board's weight for easier spins. Bamboo inserts give you crazy pop in the park and pipe without causing too much torsional rigidity. This all-mountain board's super-fast SinterSpeed base give you greased-lightning glide for throwing the sickest tricks over the biggest gaps.

Bottom Line: Ride it all and ride it hard on the Anthem.

ROME is legit

This board is awesome. I didn't find it too stiff, just solid and fast as hell. It's seriously the fastest base I have ever ridden, I was flying past people on the cat tracks while others were pushing. I went rinding at Snow Summit...bleh, not much snow and it was choppy too, this board held an edge all day long. Totally stoked on ROME!

awesome pow/jump board.

this board has been my go to board for 4 years now. its sturdy enough to take core shots from the shitty fall/late spring conditions and yet sinister speed base(if you take care of it). it is a stiff board. one of the stiffest on the rome line. i dont ride rails or boxes but it is definitely a jumper. hit 30-40 foot booters on this bad boy and landing was a breeze. just know that this is a directional, and it sucks not being able to land or ride switch, but on pow days and booter days this board stands alone.

Does anyone know what the edge bevel on this is? The 2010 is 1/1 Mountain but the 2009 catalog says 2/2 Park. Did they really change this or maybe this was a misprint in the 2009 catalog? I have contacted Rome and have not heard anything.

I emailed Rome and they informed me that the 2/2 bevel was a misprint in the 2009 catalog, and the 2009 anthem has a 1 bevel just as the 2010 does.

this board is ok for like powder with great handling but if u are going to ride park not good because of the rockers dont flex enough so hit it to hard and u might just be out of a snowboard for the season

little cocky there cat. this will probably do you fine, its not too advanced, but will hold up when you get "really good". grab the 162 for all mountian, or the 156 for park, and go back up ur talk

I love it but

I am not into really stiff boards anymore. It's waaaay stiff. In the pow if you go extra long, I can see it being fun. I took it out for that purpose and then the forecast did not come through so I was riding it in hard pack. It will stick with you for sure. It just was not for me. I love the agent which is way more flexy. But if stiff decks are what you are after with precision handling at high speeds you have found heaven at last.
