Rome Detail Snowboard - Women's - 2008

The Rome Women's Detail Snowboard gives riders a true twintip board that's ready to butter, slide, or job anything in its path. Thanks to a progressive buttery flex developed by Rome pro Marie-France Roy, this board pushes the limits of your park and urban riding. A lively Pop Core Matrix gives you a carbon laminate over a high density wood core to provide plenty of pop and a responsive feel. A soft torsional flex lets you finesse a little more tweak out of your next boardslide. The Detail Snowboard's extruded base gives you speed through the park coupled with durability that'll stand up to jibbing battle damage. Rome built the Detail snowboard with bronze edges that are slightly softer than typical steel edge—they naturally detune and round out to give you catch-free jibs.

Bottom Line: Dial your park riding when on the Rome Women's Detail Snowboard.

not too bad at all

I rode this board last winter, and it definitely upped my park riding abilities. I was so impressed how easily and smooth it buttered on boxes and rails. It is also very durable, and I learned so many new tricks. But since the bronze edges wear out quickly, this board wasn't so good just riding around. My edges kept slipping out. I noticed it was also a heavier snowboard, so it might be a difficult one to ride for any smaller girls. Overall, I'm happy that I got it though.

I would imagine most women specific bindings are gonna be shredtastic on this board. But the real key is your boot-to-binding interface. I would suggest buying the same brand as your boots. If you have burton boots, then go for it! The lexa's have custom gel to dampen your ride, some of the smoothest ratcheting in the business, and you have dogfunk's return policy if your not satisfied! Bingo!

Hey, I demoed the 2010 Detail and it wasn't great outside the park... would be perfect if you were a straight up park girl (like 100% in the park), but there are definitely better boards that will do both park and freeriding out there. However if it's a really small resort, like in Missouri or something, lol then it will be fine. K2 Fling will probably suit you better, that board handled everything great when I rode it. It won't chatter when you lay down those extreme euro carves and holds an edge well and is playful in the park at the same time. The Fling comes in 138 at the smallest size and a 142. You can't go wrong with either size. Hope this helps!!
