Ride Society Snowboard

Built for going large, the Ride Society Snowboard wants you to find the biggest jump on the mountain and point it. Ride uses 85A-durometer urethane in this freestyle deck's sidewalls. Just like on your longboard wheels, the urethane reduces vibration for a smooth ride on the run in and landings. A screaming fast Fusion 4000 sintered base ensures you'll have enough speed to make the transition. not really suited for the park

First off, all the hype about this board having lots pop is for real. Everywhere I rode this thing people were tripping out on how high i was boosting off little jumps. Its like a pogo stick. The build construction is solid, and the graphic is clean. I think Ride is one of the better quality large board companies out there.

That said, this board is super stiff. They advertise it as a good park board, but only if you hit big jumps exclusively... boxes are impossible to press, and rails are downright sketchy. Powder is also another area this board has issues. You really have to work to keep the nose up. Overall this board is best suited for iced groomers and parks with large booters.

Last season I would have rated this 4 stars, but after riding a bunch of reverse camber and flexy boards this season I began to realize how much better technology is out there. Just keepin it real.

If you are serious about mashing the Park this board is legit.
Carbon Array 5 makes it super stiff on the noze and tail. and yet has some flex between the bindings.

hi im interested in buying this board but im not sure if it will satisfy me. i want to step up to a good performance park board and am wondering if this board is what i want. if i am 5'7 and 130 with a US 10 foot size, what size board should i use

yes this board is great for freestyle and park. I would recommend a 151 size for you and since it is a twin, riding freestyle is perfect for it. Also with the pop rods, you will get an increase of pop off various jumps and more. This board is sick!

i have the 08' model and it is awesome, perfect flex for pressing that box, and equal pop. ive had this board out in lake tahoe at squaw valley, droppin off 20 foot cliffs into a couple feet of powder and it is sick. definately worth the money

I have last yrs model and i must say. it is freaking awesome. By far the best board i have ever ridden on. I'm 5'9 165 and use a 154. works perfectly. Im all over the place on the mountain. Park-Steep Slopes. it handles great wherever i go. Great on the pipe as well. toEverything about it is great. no complaints at all. i ride on the east cost and i was surprised to see how well it handled on ice. The slimewalls really dig in and make it smoother. Overall great board!

The Society is back again for Oh'10 and is the same great board that it has been the past few years. The only thing that has changed from last year are the graphics. The Society features Carbon Array 5 to keep it snappy in the nose and tail, but is softer between the bindings so it's still playful on boxes and rails.

It also features a tech Ride introduced last year called Pop Rods. Ride has inserted two hollow carbon rods in the nose and tail of the board. This allows you to really load up the nose and tail and spring higher then you have before.

Combined with a True color sintered base that is fast in all conditions, 85a slimewalls and a quadratic sidecut the society will take everything you throw at it. This board is perfect for the rider that loves the park but wants something that will not let you down anywhere on the mountain.

Unfortunately ride doesn't make a wide version of this deck and the 24.9-25.2 waist widths really max out at a US 10.5 boot size. If you are rocking an 11-11.5 check out Ride's RFL and FUL boot that have reduced foot prints that will allow you to squeeze on this deck without plates.

I been riding for 13 yrs and this board is easily the best board ive had by far. I have had the last 3 models and will continue to keep riding the society. Free riding the mountain is no probs, nice and buttery but still tortionally stiff enough too had a real crack on. Jumping is amazing havent snapped 1 yet and have been hitting 50 and 60 ftrs and have had no issues. Jibbing is also alot of fun it took me a few days to get used to the flex pattern but from then on all joy.
Struggles a lttle in the pipe- but that might be more the riders fault.

Best Board ever!!!
