Rome 390 Snowboard Binding

Who says plenty o’ padding means rocking a heavy, sluggish binding? The Rome 390 Snowboard Binding features 3-Piece InBase Padding and gel-padded ankle straps for cliff-dropping cushiness, while Sub Base padding eats up chatter on the hardpack. The 390 Binding's glass-filled nylon baseplate amps up edge-to-edge response during your all-mountain shralpathons, and Rome's UnderWrap heel cup hugs the back of the heel and connects to a toe ramp for increased control and easy toe-edging during tight traverses. Lightweight and super-adjustable, the cored 390 highbacks offer custom support that won’t hold you back or weigh you down.

Bottom Line: Get the padding without the fat.

dope!

I have these in the Special Edition Bowie versions from last year (everything is pretty much the same) and boy DO I LOVE THESE BINDINGS! They are on the stiffer side than most "urban/park" bindings but it made me a believer because I was the biggest skeptic when it came to flex. Awesome board feel and comfort in these puppies. The only bad thing I have to say about them is that the ratchet pin/handle things break off like nothing so be careful not to pull on those puppies too hard.

supersick!

i just bought these bindings and rode them this weekend there really nice perfect balance between stiffness/flex their was only one thing i didnt like about them, and it was that the tow strap is kinda small for my boor which is weird cuz i have the binding set up for a size ten boot and im wearing buton 09' boots size ten , and the toe strap doesnt quite fit right nd cuts into the side toe of my boot, kind of annoying feeling . still really nice bindings , super comfortable , worth buying!

Be aware that some 32's run wide at the footprint. They should be fine at only a 10.5 though!

390's Rock!

The 390's are a sweet binding. Picked up this years and they are very nice. Super comfy straps etc. Work great all over the mountain. The base to board padding is great for helping the legs take a noodle! Definitely a top binding!

390s are Ok

By:
October 23, 2009

I ride on the west coast of British Columbia. I bought these last season after hearing that they were one of the best bindings for my riding style...I admit they are really comfy and light, however I had the toe strap jam up several times with ice which I didn't expect on a few cold days. Also the adjustment for the forward lean also always popped out of place, even with it tight. I previously had Burton Customs and never had problems with the straps or anything. So I was disappointed about this after hearing all the hype about the 390 and having more problems with them then my cheap heavy Customs. I will be changing brands on my next set of bindings...
