Skullcandy Smokin' Bud Headphones - 2006

Don't try to smoke these buds. The Skullcandy Smokin' Bud Headphones are strictly for your listening pleasure. Whip up a playlist of Cypress Hill, Marley, and Dre's Chronic and enjoy your tunes through these noise-reducing earphones. The Smokin' Buds make your music sound like that premium shiznit. These ear buds deliver a full, crisp frequency range and the fast response of full-size headphones in a tiny direct-to-ear package—better than the sticks and stems sound of most other earbuds. When the paranoia kicks in and you think you're listening to Bob a little too loud, adjust the Smokin' Bud's volume with the in-line control and relax. It's just Natural Mystic floating through the air.

Bottom Line: The Skullcandy Smokin' Buds give you dope sound in a small package.

Have you ever seen ear buds that look so cool!?! I think...wait...i know not. They sound awesome too, highs are crisp and clear, and then the bass is monster, feels like they almost have subwoofers. noise isolation is great, put you in own little world withought the redic. price of noise-cancelling heaphones. only two gripes are the volume control is nearly usless, only goes from %100 volume to about %50 volume, instead of going to zero like it should. and then like lots of earbuds, they fall out easy. SOOOOO for the price of a boring pair of buds, you get the skullcandy name, skullcandy style, the skullcandy warranty, the skullcandy sticker :-), and a nearly functioning volume control. Great stuff

the AERIAL7 tanks are awesome over-ears, but they're bulky. still the sound quality is better than skullcandy and they don't wear out nearly as quickly.

I like these earbuds, but they aren't much better than Ink'd. Bit more style to them, and the volume control...but sound quality is the same as the Ink'd.

Rasta

By:
March 13, 2009

The rasta ones look pretty sick. They are perfect for my ears because they are really small. Typically earbuds fall out for me. The product itself feels cheap but they hold up pretty well and sound amazing. The only thing that I do not like is the cord is really long and gets tangled a lot - and stays tangled.

They have nice sound to em but if you wear a helmet they are tight and hurt a little. If your not planning on boarding with them then they are 5 stars. Rasta colors look sweet too.

pink skull candies

Probably one of the best sets of headphones I have. They come in different sizes to perfectly fit your ear, even during the most activity they'll stay in! They're a good buy if you need something to last you for a long time with great quality of sound!

Awesome Earbuds!

By:
October 10, 2007

I love these earbuds! They have crisp and clear sound quality, and the only problem I had with them, until one stopped working on my own fault, was that I kept losing the rubber things attached to them. I have rather small ears, so the smallest size and rubber flexibility fit nicely and comfortably into my ear for long periods of time without causing problems.

They were the best earbuds I've had by far, and I plan on buying more.

My skull candy's have been through a lot. I even accidentally put them through the washer and dryer and they still work perfectly. I'm amazed! Good Headphones. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Good zoners

By: Dogfunk.com Employee
December 29, 2008

These headphones are great for putting on some tunes and zoning out. They block out sound well and combined with the music playing it's hard to hear anything else. That way you can go float off in your own little world and daydream about shredding some gnar. They also make good headphones to wear while shredding it. They put off a really good clean sound too.

These Headphones are awesome. Perfect for shredin', or whatever you do. When I'm not jamming to my Gi's, Im rockin' out on these smokin' bud's. The sound quality is amazing I must say. They also fit in your ear's quite nicely. Sometimes the bud falls out, but no biggie they usually stay in there. invest in one of these forsureee!

Skullcandy Smokin' Bug Headphones

By: Dogfunk.com Employee
May 14, 2009

I know Skullcandy is all the rage, but I'm not all that impressed by the Smokin' Bud Headphones. The sound quality seems good enough, and it's sometimes nice to have in-line volume control, but these really just don't seem to fit my ears. Even the smallest ear pieces were too big, and these didn't want to stay in. (They were too big to be inserted correctly.) Also, they seem to cut out too much other sound. Perhaps that's nice if you're commuting on a crowded subway train or something, but I know I wouldn't feel safe skiing or riding with these even at very low volume.

Terrible

By:
February 7, 2008

These are the worst ear buds I've ever owned. I bought them because I blew my iPod ear buds. They don't fit right and they don't stay in your ears so they're worthless for snowboarding. They make my mp3's sound worse and they're already breaking and having weird problems. They look really cool though. Stick with your iPod ear buds or find something else.
