Sessions Shane Softshell Jacket - Men's - 2008

You thought Sessions was all snowboard gear, right? Well, the Shane Softshell Jacket says otherwise, and it has one of freeskiing’s founding fathers to back it up. This is the signature jacket of Shane McConkey (a.k.a. Pain McSchlonkey, a.k.a. Cliff Huckstable, a.k.a. Saucer Boy, a.k.a. the founder of the International Freeskiers’ Association) and in one season it will likely experience more airtime than you will in your entire skiing career. Unless you ski like Shane does, which is possible, but highly unlikely even though he’s a pretty beat-up, old, cranky mother. And if Shane heard we said that about him, he’d probably come to Park City and kill us with a sharpened Volant Spatula. Before we die, we should mention that the Shane Jacket is a badass GORE-TEX SoftShell ski coat, with fully taped seams, flow-through venting, watertight zips, and it’s a sick piece that’s worthy of the man himself. If you want to snowboard in it, that’s too bad, because Shane specified that every jacket with his name on it will self-destruct if it senses lame snowboarding moves (and if you think we’re serious about hating on snowboarders, you need a life).

Bottom Line: Sorry about the “old guy” thing, Shane. Nice jacket, man.

Nice Jacket

Fits real well. Not too baggy and not too tight. I wear XL in everything and this XL fits perfectly unlike other sessions coats that run real big. Fabric is thicker than some gore tex jackets. I have yet to test it out riding. I wore it in the rain and stayed dry.
