With enough waterproofing to withstand any storm and underarm vents for temperature regulation, the Special Blend Men's Control Snowboard Jacket lets you call the shots on the mountain. Fully taped seams increase the waterproof protection by blocking out even the tiniest leaks. Articulated elbows make those double grabs feel more natural. The Control coat's powder skirt stops those fresh inches from shooting up your back. Zip the pow skirt off so you don't look like a dork when you rock this parka in the city. The Control Jacket is a touch longer than most Special Blend concoctions, which keeps you a few degrees warmer than your shivering buddies.
Bottom Line: Don't play the victim role. You control your shred experience when you ride in the Special Blend Control Jacket.
I got this jacket the other day and have already put it through some fun. the night I got it, I decided to "parkour" over some stuff and biffed it hard and fast on some rough pavement with the brunt of the hit going to my elbows and back. I was expecting some wicked tears and stuff on the jacket. However, not a hint of damage. I also wore it out in some pretty nasty (cold and blowing hard snow) conditions with just a tee underneath with no issues whatsoever. I got a small, and I am 6' and 140 lbs. It is just a bit baggy on me, but nothing too crazy. Love love love it
Figured my bubble-jacket was too warm for the slopes so I bought this jacket in the purple color, and man, what a deal. 150 dollars for this ultra-high-tech-bigtime-user-friendly-überkewl-look-jacket is one helluwa steal. Great pockets and it's great to be able to zip of the powder-skirt. Completely water and wind-repellant.
Only thing I miss is a big simple pocket inside just to the left of the zip, but hey, you get used to putting your stuff on the outside.
Buy it. You won't get disappointed.
PS: Goes great with the Special Blend Empire Shell Pant. This coat in purple + empire shell pant in purple = love.
It a great jacket! it kept we warm with only a T-shirt under it! I got the Green Beach Check Splash and it looks great with white pants. You should definetly buy it!
This is a really sweet coat, its lightweight and keeps your really warm. I have no problems with this coat and i got it from dogfunk in just 2 days! Love this place and love the gear they have!
The jacket is black/white/grape purple. I would explain the color to look like the Gnarly Hooded sweatshirt. It is a Purple color, not hot pink or anything like that. True purple.
I got this jacket in the black/white/grape. Very cool. Nicely made. The only issue; the main zipper on the front of the jacket is hard to 'mate' due to the way it is stitched - I think this issue may be specific to just my jacket tho :( Other then that, sweet!
This jacket is not what it looks like in the pic (at least not the brent plaid). It's super thin and super baggy. I even got a small and being 5'9, 160, this thin is huge. i live in Colorado and board every weekend, outta work, and there is no way this thing could keep ya warm in the rockies. it's a shoft shell at best. and to much shock, the brent plaid model does NOT have fur on the hood, which it does on the pick. so overall, i wouldn't wear this coat for free (to freeze my ass off!)!!
The M is 36"38" (9196cm), the S is 34"36" (8691 cm). Measure yourself up, grab a tape measure and wrap it around your chest at the biggest part, then under your arms and around the back. I go bigger if your right on the edge.
I am 5'9" 165 and this jacket fits perfectly a lil loose is how i like it (jackets not...) I wanted it as a lighter coat cause I have an Atmosphere puffy and jus needed something for the warmer days.
