Stepchild Snowboards Hammerhead Snowboard - 2008
Stepchild made the Hammerhead Snowboard tougher than a coffin nail for boarders who need a solid ride that boosts big and takes a serious hit without going down like the Titanic. Stepchild softened the flex just a tiny bit on this season's board by shaving 2mm off the core, and then added a fiberglass layer over the binding inserts for reinforcement. Burly sidewall construction and a blunt-tipped true twin shape help the Hammerhead survive the terrain park's biggest jumps and live through botched rail and ledge attempts. Stepchild integrated carbon stringers into the tip-to-tail poplar wood core to increase pop and keep this board from getting soft just because you ride the crap out of it for a few seasons straight.
Bottom Line: Stop thrashing a wimpy board each season and switch to the ultra-burly Stepchild Hammerhead Snowboard.
