When your to-do list is full of rails, boxes, trashcans, walls and homemade jibs, consider the benefits the Stepchild Snowboards Jib Stick Snowboard will have on your skills. Super durable with a luxurious medium flex, the Jib Stick features a stable and poppy Kicker II wood core and a Bracketed rocker that increases from four millimeters (148cm), six millimeters (153cm), to eight millimeters (156cm), so you get the perfect amount of reversed camber for your size. StepChild also added a Quadrax fiberglass laminate for ultimate durability and response to give you the latchkey advantage on scary new features.
Twin tip shape for urban and park riding
Medium flex is soft enough for presses, but still has plenty of pop and stability
Kicker II core tip-to-tail poplar with beech stringers on the rails for stability, edge control, and pop
Armadillo Plate reinforces the binding inserts for durability and stability
Blue sidewalls are burly for impact resistance and have that pastel pop
i rode this board for about a week this australian season and all i can say is get one i did!! its so stable, so fun and so soft yet not a super noodle so you actually have to do your tricks using skill. im 6ft and 80kg with a sz 11 boot and i got the 148 and it feels sweet i was riding a 152 k2 www and it actually feels better underfoot since its got a reasonably wide waist at 251 i know it's expensive ($920 down here in oz) but i can honestly say ive never rid a jib board thats felt so strong and ive broke a lot of boards so if ya a big boi wiv a big foot and love riding short boards this is for you......
had it for a week, smacked the nose on a box and the shit cracked the edge and split the board, next run my buddy who rides the exact same board hit the same box and cracked his in the same exact spot, we both apoxyed it back up and bent the edge and its still ripping. RETT is really cool, didnt have to file my edges. board has nice pop and and handles very well, on jumps it was ok, not a solid as a banana tho. im 5'10 and i got the 48. rocked it with some p1.1 bindings and it was perfect for the end of the season. sick board but the tip n tail are not the strongest.
I mainly do street and the burton 7 I have seems just ,well, stiff. But I can't decide between a Jib Stick, Skate BANANA, or a Capita Stairmaster. Which would be best?
well, i own both a jibstick and stairmaster. I rode the stairmaster for 2 seasons and i love it, but it has gotten aged, and i wanted to try the reverse camber, i havent gotten to really ride it yet but hopping around on carpet. So to sum it up, stairmaster, soft, not a noodle but very buttery, and decent pop, jibstick, also soft, idk how butterey, but also has rc, so no battling the camber for a sick nasty press. You could also consider the artifact or horrorscope, both also nice boards in about the same price range.
