Vans Encore Snowboard Boot - 2008

Vans' top-selling boot, the Men's Encore Snowboard Boot, returns for another brilliant season with the integrated BOA fit system leading the charge. This flexy, BOA-equipped boot has enough versatility to spend the morning ripping powder lines in the trees and the afternoon shredding rails. The Encore’s durable BOA system features the series-30 reel and dial with an over-molded rubber grip. The Trifit center-tongue liner sports Vans’ new heel-holding technology and dual-density EVA comfort in a lightweight body. A Pro-Flex Snowaffle Air Outsole drops mad traction under your foot, and the Encore’s midsole features an integrated air bladder for added impact protection.

Bottom Line: Put your hands together for the Vans Encore Snowboard Boot.

Fun boot, great price.

This boot is got pretty good flex. Not too stiff, not too soft. My last pair of vans were a size 10, and this one was a little more snug than my last size ten, but its packing out. Boa system is pretty good, but I would recommend the boa focus system since you cannot tighten the two different zones separately with the single boa like you can with the focus system. This means that it might get tighter around the foot and not as tight up top around the ankle, but that was the only downside of this boot. Great boot for the price though.

i must admit i've only used them 3 times, and so far they have held together pretty well, also comfy as, easy to get on and off, and the flex is just right for what i wanted.

Boa...more like Blows

The first contact point in the boot where the boa connects the lacing to the rest of the points ripped right off successfully 3 times. Every time it ripped it was after 3-4 uses. Had them replaced 3 times and then I called it quits.

Van's Encore Boot

By:

These boots are good for about 4-6 rides.
The fit is good, they are comfortable.
They are made poorly.
The BOA system rips free of the stitching after only a week of riding!!
This has happened to me twice already.
Van's will warranty the boots but you gave to pay shipping to get them there(which I have done twice now).
Also, it takes a long time, so you will be without boots for a couple of weeks.
How do you ride without boots?
Save your money, these suck bad!!!!
I have been snowboarding since 1984 and these are the crapiest things I've ever owned.
