The Volcom Men’s Dos Boris Cargo Pant proves that Russians speak Spanish when they visit their comrades in Cuba. When asked how many cargo pockets his kickass new Volcom pants had, Raul Castro responded, “Dos Boris.” And his Russian guest understood completely.
Bottom Line: White Russians or Mojitos? Pull off either cocktail in these pants.
Okay, the Dos Boris Cargo Pants. I got a pair a few months back. Here is what you need to know. The look, I bought the green (olive), which may or may not be the best choice. They are different when you get them, but they are still a cool design. What you can not see is a design that runs down,(the, I believe, left or both sides, I am not looking at them currently) side(s). http://www.volcom.com/eCom/product_detail.asp?LineID=40&catID=1&typeID=2&prodID=15280&snowType=&sid=&news=&showGirls=# Shows the design partially, click on details on the lower pair, *Note* that the darker (dark tan they call olive) on the Volcom link above, is not the color you will get here, these from dogfunk are green. The design is like black, drawn map with animals. I think it looks cool and does not distract or draw attention. Which is nice because it makes them slightly different from say.. military or tactical pants, which people had thought they were. They definitely have that look. It has two back, two waist side, two cargo, and one small (for thin cells, cash, cards, etc. on the right leg between the waist and cargo) pockets (7 total).
The feel, they are comfortable, at first I thought they were too rigid but after a wash and four days on my floor and wearing them everyday they break in well. They may seem warm, not great for summer, but just right to wear at night. I can't find a great shirt combination that is great with them other than black, which is what I wear anyways and I usually wear with black shoes or boots. I wear them about twice a week, good if you go out in the woods, you can play around in them, load them up with crap, although it will of course slow you down. I have never done parquor with them yet but they seem like they can take some extreme stuff, just remember they can get a little (not extremely though) warm.
I love the way these fit and look. Big pockets that don't flare out like parachutes are a plus.
Unfortunately, the material wrinkles very heavily which sort of ruins the low matinence aspect of cargo pants. I also got a grass stain on them the first day i wore them. While my last two pair of khaki cargos didn't retain grass stains after the first wash, these ones do.
