Not really specified as such, it will make light rain bead up and could be ridden perhaps in dry snow but it will not replace a softshell. I've had a Volcom piece similar to this four about 3 years now and it still in constant rotation as far as my winter wardrobe goes, definitely a good purchase.
I love this hoodie! I am 5'11" and ordered a large, it fits perfectly...I wear it all the time! It is that great material that wicks water but isn't waterproof and has a fuzzy soft fleece lining. I definitely recommend it!
