hey i have heard diff opinions on the sizing but i am 5'9'' 155 and like a baggy fit, not overly huge but lose and comfortable with a little length. Would the med work or the large be better? thanks for the help guys

Bruce,

This jacket, being a shell, will not be very warm. The benefit to a shell, is that you can layer under them to match a variety of winter weather. Goretex is king when it comes to water proofing...think rain gear, only more breathable. The problem with super water proof gear, is not letting your body breath, causing sweaty uncomfortableness...
Goretex solves that problem using an intricate "pore system" that keeps water out, but lets your body's "vapor" expel through the jacket.

I think if you want a jacket you can wear about town in rainy conditions, and a jacket you can rock when it's nipple deep out, this one is for you. I always buy shells, and on the coldest of days I wear a warm baselayer, a midweight breathable midlayer, and my shell!
