Headphone satisfaction.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are quite good. I really like the design and style. I got these on whiskeymilitia for cheap, and I'm not disappointed. The dark blue is a sweet understated color, and the white looks slick with it. The sound quality is very good, better than beats for sure, and better than my $40 sennheisers I've had for years. Glad I got these. These are pretty studio-quality, as in pretty flat tone and full vocals. The bass isn't mind-blowing, but I didn't buy them for that. My indie-acoustic-electro tastes are completely suited for these headphones. Derby, The Format, The Paper Kites, Strange Talk, Youth Lagoon, Prince of Spain are a few of the bands I listen to, and they all sound great with these headphones. The only minus with these headphones is the fit for me. These are true on-ear headphones, and are completely perpendicular to your head, so if you have a narrow head like mine, they may not sit super flat on your ears. So four stars instead of five.

sound quality is terrific

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

... the sound quality is simply terrific. Just the right amount of bass, excellent mids and highs. Very nice. That's the most important thing, right? But a few other comments: I wish the cord were longer. I wish the ear cups were a bit larger so that they more fully encompassed my ears. The head tension is pretty good. It stays securely on my head during normal use. After about an hour of wearing though I start to feel a bit sore.

Awesome headphones!

I purchased the headphones about 3 months now and haven't been disappointing. Ive owned Beats by Dre and a Skullcandies and the sound quality is amazing! They may not have the bass of Beats by Dre but the bass is enough for the music i listen too. They deliver the perfect high, mid and low sounds as good as my Beats. I like that the headphone jack, headphone speakers and band come separate so you can customize the fit.

Name fits the product- ULTRA!

I've tried the other SOL REPUBLIC HP's and had someone recommend I try a set of the SR Ultra's. I was not disappointed. These work on the same platform as the others with the modularity and indestructible headbands but the key differences are not just looks, but they have a Titanium Driver that delivers amazing High's, Mid's and Lows. they are a true Audiofile listeners dream w/ the clarity of a $600 HP for a fraction of the cost. Most bang for buck w/ these ULTRA's!!
