The Sorel Women’s Hoonah Boot equestrian style and snow-day practicality make it an excellent choice when you’re determined to wear your favorite skinny jeans on a snowy evening. (Winter is no excuse to look frumpy on a date, thank you very much.) Multi-directional lugged outsoles provide solid footing even on slick cobblestoned surfaces—yes, we checked—and waterproof leather uppers let you step through a pile of snow without hesitation. Sorel even put a layer of Thinsulate insulation and fuzzy wool lining inside the boots so you won’t need to wear two pair of socks to stay warm.

I really like the look of these boots. I think they are girly enough without going overboard. I think the leather is a nicer color in real life than in the pics. They are definitely waterproof as they say. I walked a couple of miles in the rain yesterday and my feet stayed warm and dry. Very comfortable to wear. This boot has a really grippy tread on the bottom that should work on snowy or icey days- but I will have to wait and see for sure on that. The only criticism I have of them so far is that a better foot bed would be nice, the one in there doesn't really give much arch support. I also went a half size down on these and it fit just right.
love looks and fit
having been into horses when i was younger, i loved the equestrian vibe of the hoonah. once i got them in the mail, i actually opted for BOTH the black and the delta colors once i realized they are a great fit (i wear a 7, and these are big but perfect with thick socks) in the foot and shaft. i have a hard time finding tall boots that don't kill my feet...these are IT.
LOVE them! They do run a tad bit big, but they look super cute with skinny jeans tucked in
Yes, it's love.
*Buying tip: order a size down, at least a half size.
Great traction, warmth, fit, looks, I could go on... best part was they came waterproofed and that they don't get stained or discolored when wet, the water just rolls right off the leather.
Very nice sorel boots, the Hoonah are both warm and waterproof. They are true to the pictures of the website. The sizing is also accurate. I took a 10, even though i'm normally a 9, 9 1/2. It is a little roomy, but I think more confortable and it will let me put insoles if i need to. The boots are surprisingly comfortable, which would make them good to walk around in a city environment. I was also pleasantly surprised by the room at the calf: i have bigger calfs, but with my skinny jeans tucked in, the boots feel just right. Neither too roomy, nor too tight.
On the whole, I really like those shoes. I think they look better on the side and on the back, because the front is a little too bulky, but at the same time, they are very stylish for snow boots. I have received many complements about them, even though I've had them for 2 weeks only.
I definitely recommand!
stylish and functional
these boots look great on- they fit my calf well, and come up to just below my knee. the outsole looks a little beefy in the picture, but it is not at all. the lining inside is really soft, and the leather outer is not too stiff. I am a size 7 but got a 6.5 in these because Sorel tends to run big. they fit perfectly.
