The Special Blend Brigade jacket is definitely a good jacket for colder days. Its well insulated, and super comfortable. Theres a ton of external pockets and two internal pockets, which are all easy to access even with gloves on. I'm 5'10'' 175 lbs., and got an XL, which fits great. Its baggy and has a nice relaxed fit. Also, the jacket is really steezy. The liner is soft and makes for slipping it on and off a breeze. My only complaint is that there are no core vents to open or close. Theres no insulation on the sides (under your armpits) which helps to counter this problem, though. Bottom line: good looking, comfortable, warm.

I bought a SB jacket from a seconed hand store and I have two questions, First is what did originally corst? Its black and green and has 5k waterproofing and RN# is 87380 anyone know? Second more important one is how do I wash it? It has no intructions in it or anything and I dont wanna ruin it cause it cost to much even second hand. Here is a picture of it. Thank you.

sick jacket! Special blend makes the best coats for the price. 686 Also makes good coats but are costly. This coat is perfect for those cold canadian days on the hill and keeps the water out pretty good.

I am just curious, I literally just bought the white icon one and didnt see pit zips on the description. does this one not have them? I will be bummed since that is one of the main features I wanted.

This coat is super awesome! It keeps you dry and it keeps you at perfect temp no matter the day. The only thing is that there are no vents. It says pit vents but there is no zipper.

Super cool jacket, but it's not very waterproof. Last time I used it in a little bit rain, it got really wet in a couple of minutes. When I recieved my jacket, it missed a button and many loose threads. The whole jacket was just kind of cheap, many of the stitches in the jacket were bad and some of them were even broken. Good looking, but it wont last long

Hi Julie, this jacket should retain it's waterproofing properties for ten washes. Wash by itself, follow the instructions, and only use a little detergent. Air dry. I use Nikwax Tech Wash to add waterproofing to all of my older outerwear. It's a simple, washing machine additive that really works.
