Sick, but runs big

Great jacket, well thought out pockets/zippers, sick toggles, classy style. I ordered a Medium at first, but sleeves were mad long and I had to bend over to reach the zipper. I'm 5'9", 150lbs. Just returned the medium for real cheap and ordered my small. I anticipate a perfect fit. I'll update when it arrives.

6'3 and 220 pounds, theres no chance im pulling this jacket off, is there?

I know a dude who's a similar build. He was able to comfortably shred in an XL, so you might be able to rock it.

You can always order one up, and if it doesn't fit send it back (in new condition please) for a refund.

im 6ft 165lbs skinny-medium build, what size should i get?

Responded on

I have a very similar build to you and I would rock this jacket in a large for shredding, and a medium if you're wearing it strictly as a street piece. Because it's slim fit, it's sized on the smaller side. A medium will probably constrict your freedom of movement too much for shred purposes.

Alex check out www.special-blend.com and click on "look book" there are a couple pics of Austin Sweeten rocking it, and if you go to the jacket on special-blend.com there is also a shot of the back of the jacket.

Write your question here...would this be good for -10f weather?

Responded on

This jacket will definitely work. The biggest thing to keep in mind in that kind of weather in proper layering. I highly recommend investing in some good base layers and then a mid-weight fleece etc. If the weather is always consistently that cold i would also recommend something with a little more insulation.

We live in northwest Ohio (super windy and rainy and snowy and COLD). I want to get a good nice jacket for my husband, will this be the ONE, or what will you suggest? (I want something that keeps him warm and protect him from the WIND and the RAIN). Thank you

This jacket will be perfect for your hubs. It's got a great waterproof rating, all the seams are taped to keep moisture out, and it's got some insulation. Most importantly, it looks sharp.

Is this jacket good for all mountain riding?

Oh ya. Especially if you want to look super stylin. This jacket is fully taped, 10,000mm waterproof and mildly insulated. This jacket is perfectly built for all mountain riding!

Awesome jacket, great colors, killer fit

This is a BEAUTIFUL jacket! I got it in tan, and it's got a sick blood-red interior that peaks out when the hood is down. The fit is fantastic and it's definitely doubles well for the slopes AND daily (er, nightly) use out on the town. I went with this peacoat-ish style jacket because I live in Boston and mostly just need something that'll look nice and keep me warm during the winter, but that'd also double as a boarding jacket because I can't afford (and don't want) to double-down on winter gear.

On the mountain: I can't provide a review because I haven't gotten a chance to go boarding this season. I'll update when I do. I will note, however, that this jacket *doesn't* have gaiters. I knew that before I bought it, and decided to go ahead and do it because prolly 98% of my use will be in the city, not on the slopes. I would *not* recommend this jacket if you're only gonna be using it on the mountain due to the lack of gaiters..

In the city:
-Killer colors, both inside and out
-Great fit
-REALLY WARM
-Tons of pockets inside and out

And FYI: I got a size small and it's a pretty much PERFECT fit. I'm 5'8" dude, 160lbs., medium-skinny build, 32" waist, and 32/33" sleeves (the sleeves on this jacket are just a tad long). The bottom of the jacket sits a little higher than mid-thigh -- exactly what I wanted.

Overall: 9.5/10 and VERY satisfied so far.

What size should I get? I don't like baggy stuff.

Responded on

I suggest choosing a size medium jacket. It will be slim, but you will still be able to layer underneath and it won't constrict your freedom of movement.
