Special Blend Packer Jacket - Men's - 2008

The coldest pow day or warmest park session have nothing on you when you wear the Special Blend Men's Packer Snowboarding Jacket. When you're snorkeling through the deeps on a frigid January morning, the Packer Jacket's liner makes you extra toasty, while the 15K-rated waterproof fabric and powder skirt keep you dry. During a March park session, remove the liner, zip-off the hood, and just rock the shell. Put in your ear buds, stash your MP3 player in its pocket, open the Underarm zips, and show the beaters how it's done. After a day on the mountain, wear the Special Blend Packer Jacket's warm-up jacket liner out on the town.

Bottom Line: With its removable liner and hood, the Special Blend Packer Jacket is ready whether you're running hot or cold.

No problems so far!

Purchased the white one. Took it out of the box and if there was such thing as neon white this would be it. Its bright white. I love it. I haven't worn it boarding down the mountain yet but I experienced some negative tempertures in Colorado a few weeks ago. I wore it with the lining, which is the bright teal blue, and it kept me very warm. I was wearing thermals underneath as well because it was about 9 below. The jacket has plenty of pockets and I have not yet wore the jacket without the liner. So far I love the jacket and the sale price from dogfunk was fantastic. Unbeatable. I recommend if you can find something on sale its worth it because 60% off this jacket is fantastic. The jacket is great. I highly recommend it if there are any left.

I don't think they are "hella big", but i guess it is how you perceive things. It does have a removable liner so this could have made the shell seem a little bigger but i don't think it is. If you want the sleeves to be normal sized, then you will be happy.

i am about 5'6" 140 pounds, i fit into a medium but its a little baggy but i like my stuff a little big. but this jacket is so warm and super waterproof. i have gotten many compliments on the jacket, keeps me dry and warm. it is one of the most universal jackets, the interlinear is amazing. my favorite are the "hand warmer" pockets, they are huge and you can put your hands in there and stay warm. overall jacket is well worth the price.

We don't sell the liner separate, you should look into first layer. Buy a bonded fleece or thick flannel. It sucks you lost the liner, but we make great first layer pieces you should check out.

Awesome Jacket

By:
December 29, 2008

I bought this jacket at sports chalet knowing nothing about it prior. I got the crosshatch denim which is a nice grey/blue color. The jacket has many pockets and cool little features. The liner keeps you very warm, so there is no need for layering. When its warm, you can zip out the liner and throw on some layers for style. I am very satisfied with the quality of the jacket, it will last 5+ years. I am 5'7" and the large fits me on the baggy side. Not many people have these jackets, and i have already got a few compliments. Pick one up for sure!

I'm 6' too, and the medium hates my arm length. Go Large as that Lyman cat knows his stuff!

large. If you get a medium, when you stretch you arms out the sleeves will ride up to your writs. If that doesn't bother you then you can rock a medium, but if that would make you mad, then i would go with the Large. I'm 6' even and I wear a Large.

gargantuan

By:
December 10, 2009

i'm 6 ft, 180 lbs and normally i need a large to hit the slopes in comfort but this large was gigantic! the actual jacket was exactly what i wanted except for the size. my outstretched arms still were completely inside the sleeves and the torso was able to wrap all the way to my armpits.

pattern was awesome, never wore outside but seemed warm enough.

Perfect Jacket

By:
March 16, 2009

The Packer jacket is sick, for sure. Out of all 3 in 1 jackets that I have used, this is by far the best. On cold days the jacket is super warm. On warm days, break out the liner and you are good to go. Whatever the conditions are, you can dial your temp in perfectly with this jacket. In case you don't know, Special blend runs big...so size down. All in all, best jacket I have ever had. Buy it

Sick Coat.

By:
February 27, 2009

I gots the green and blue checker splash ppl tried to buy it off me but i was like no way in hell. More pockets than you could have have so you cn stash all your shit in. Super warm, liner is nice for hot days and in spring. Worth every penny. i got a med and i am like 5'5" of mayber 5'6" and it is baggy still. Arms got lots of room to layer up if you wanted to. Large and med fit pretty much the same. And if it doesn't fit you can always return it.

The best shiznit eva!!!

So I got this coat when it was on sale for $84 but now that I have it I would have gladly paid full price. It has more features than a Cadillac Escalade, such as 2 spots for a pass, great media pocket, goggle spot... it is so dang warm you can wear just a T-shirt underneath and be fine in 20 degree weather. Heck, you can go shirtless and still not have to worry about frozen nipples. The liner is pimpin too, great for spring jibbin. In closing suck it Burton, Ride, Rome, and all you other jacket makers, this is by far where it is at.

Hey, I recently bought a pair of DG Snowboard Boots from you

Hey,

I recently bought a pair of DG Snowboard Boots from you guys and I was extremely happy with the product and the quick delivery to me here in Australia, much appreciated. I wanted to ask a question about the Special Blend Snowboard Jacket (the one with the White, Bule & Olive Green patches) on your Web Site ... do you have the Snowboard Pants to match? I missed buying them here in Australia because they sold out. Do you stock the Pants? how much are they? and do you have a size Small?
Regards
Cory

What up Cory,

Stoked to hear that we shipped you fast and you like your gear. I found several Special Blend pants in size small to match this jacket. Just put these SKU numbers in the search box at the top of the screen. The colors you that will match are called Topiary Green and South Beach. Here are the SKUs:

SPE0354, SPE0396, SPE0397, SPE0359, SPE0458 and SPE0471. Hope that helps you get your kit together. Peace.

Best Jacket Ever

By:
May 29, 2009

I got this jacket in green beach check splash for christmas last year and it is awesome! with the liner in, you dont need any layering at all even when its dumping pow. in spring you can just remove the liner and its still nasty. Caution: you will be noticed and get compliments like crazy. all in all get this jacket becuase you will regret getting any other. Order a size down though cuz it is very baggy.

March 25, 2009

This Jacket is awesome! it's warm, too warm sometimes. quality built. sick style. People will notice you anywhere. sizing is a matter of preference. I am 5'8 and 160 lbs. I can fit into a small. I have a medium and it's baggy fit. large would fit even baggier.

Teh madd nuggets

By:
March 9, 2009

I got this jacket in the Green and Blue splash and its as dope as they come. Madd pockets and hella warm. The liner that comes out is great for March pow. Im 6 foot 165 and the medium fits perfect with a little baggyness. Bottom line, this jacket keeps you lit on the slopes and the panties droppin off em.

this jacket is enormous

By:
March 10, 2009

i ordered this jacket in large. i'm 5'10" and about 155 lbs, so according to their sizing i should have gotten either a large or a medium. it wouldn't have mattered if i'd gotten the medium - this jacket is gigantic. i weighed myself with the jacket off and then with it on, and it weighs a full 5 pounds. it seems to be a pretty nice jacket otherwise, but unless you're a really big and tall person, you'll look dumb in this jacket.
