I have the "Bright Idea" colored ones and they're so dope. They look awesome, the lense never fogs up for more than a second, and they fit my helmet pretty well. They're durable too, I got em last season and they're still going strong, even the elastic band is in good condition. The reason they don't get 5 stars, is they don't have any special features but for the price, they're a great deal. Definitely reccomended.

These goggles are crazy good. The performance is un-matched and is one of the best goggles in the spy line-up(hence why it keeps coming back year after year). Perripheral vision is clear as day, and they never fog up. I have a slimmer face and they fit like a glove, and never bother me or move around on my face. Super cush foam and never gets itchy even after bailing on a 30ft drop to a pow sandwich in the face and goggles flying everywhere haha. Really if you want a goggle that is supposed to do everything and be everything you want them to be.... Then get these, you will NOT be dissapointed
Will the contact persimmon be good for low/ flat light? I am in need of some low light goggles that will also fit my helmet (despite almost all mfgs. saying their goggles are helmet compatible, I have issues with goggles fitting my helmet)

the persimmon lens is a good kinda normal light. if you want low or flat go with a blue or yellow lens. they will offer high contrast with out blocking a lot of light.

I haven't had a chance to get on the snow with my Soldiers yet, but man, they look sweet. I got the MFM signature goggle for the always low dogfunk price and they rock. The soldier frames are comfortable and light but are also plenty sturdy. Cant wait to hit the powder. Great buy from a great site.
You have good peripheral on these. I have 2 pairs myself, but just because I love the fit on my face. You have greater peripheral on the Omegas, but I did not like them as they foged and froze over on me. But the Soldier has been my go-to goggle for 5 years now. Venting is awesome, fit is comfy, and over all just a great goggle

Quit being a tight-ass, step up and buy these goggles. When I'm doing no-handed cartwheels down a double-black and stuffing my face in three feet of snow every other time around, I think about how happy I am with my decision to purchase Spy Soldier goggles because when I stop tumbling, I can wipe em off and keep riding, minus the fogging.
are the white ones dope or the black ones...dont say both lol

Considering the black ones are sold out, go white.

can you see your eyes through the bronze silver mirror lense?
if you can which lenses can u not see the eyes?
February 20, 2011
The Silver Mirror will be the most reflective of the ones available. The point of a reflective mirror is to block sunlight and protect the eyes on sunny days, not for hiding your eyes.

Are all the Soldier lenses Carl Zeiss lenses? I see "Optics by Carl Zeiss Vision" on every closeup of the Soldier as well as the replacement lens section... However when I ordered another pair, (I already own the "Gemini" lens) I received another Gemini lens with the "new" goggles. Can someone please explain which lenses I will receive if I decide to order again? I am hoping it is the CZ lens and it will actually say it not only on the box... but on the lens itself. Thanks!
BTW these goggles are some of the best goggles I have ever used. Worth every penny!

if they are the same goggles what justifies 110 dollar price difference?
December 30, 2010
Supply, demand, and vanity. People are willing to pay more for cool colors and mirror lenses. So, they sell for more. (Plus, it probably costs a bit more to make mirrored lenses.)

Ive had these goggles for 4 years and have put up with anything ive thrown at em. From gnarly crashes on the mountain or crashes at the race track. I still have the ORIGINAL LENS!!!!!! Oh and did i mention that they are the sickest looking goggle on the market. Ill upload a pic of me racing with my Spy Soldiers on.
What is the vision like on the green spectra lenses? I ride wolf creek and it's usually s#!tting snow and overcast, are these groovy in the gray?

It really depends on the lens you order; the Persimmon lens is made for flat light conditions like the ones you described.

Does anyone know if these or some similar googles will fit over glasses. I see it says they wont but alot of googles say that and then they do fit over glasses.
August 18, 2010
They do. I wear them over the big sunglass frames that I use for my RX. Works great!

I was out West and these mirrored lenses were perfect for the sunny conditions. Also they are super comfy. I wore them 4 days straight. The padding on them is great. I highly recommend them! Also - this site is a bargain, I checked other retailers out and this was the best. Great buy.

I got these in the pop sider and absolutely loveeeeee them! I never would have thought that a nice pair of goggles can make such a huge difference! Size said it's for medium-large head but i'm a female with a pretty average size head and they fit great! Very comfortable and the grip on the bands keep them in place without having to tighten them up too much! Awesome and totally worth every penny!

These goggles are sick! The first time I saw them I said I just got to have them. I Thought that these goggles are very stylish and the lense in butiful, nice clear and clean lense. I Especally like the rubber strip of the back of strap, it makes it so the goggles never fall off your helmet. Overall, very nice goggles for the price!! Totaly worth it!

I have not had the chance to take this nugget for a test run since its summer and all. Although it feels as good as it looks. I got the Gold Fronts-Bronze w/Gold Mirror its a little more bling than I usually go for but if I can rock these you probably can too. They look as amazing and ridiculous in person as they do online. If you are going for aesthetics this is it; otherwise I have not had a chance to test its performance.

These spy soldier goggles were the first pair of goggles I bought and I freaking love them. I have never had them fogging up on me and I have had them for 4 weeks now! Plus, I had alot of compliments on how bada$$ the goggles looked! And also, the goggles are comfortable as well, molded right onto my face! If you wanna look tight while shredding powder/ice, get these spy soldier goggles now!

i'm not really sure why these goggles are rated so high, they actually looked kind of cheap (sloppy plastic molding). i loaned mine to a buddy, third run of the day, he landed on his face and they just broke, the only thing holding the hinges to the frame is a weak piece of plastic; I also have a pair of Spy Targa II's and they're alot nicer, the periferal vision's a little better and they seem to be built better;
