Flip down the Spy Targa II Goggle and take this standard issue goggle all over the mountain. This solid goggle features a flexible frame that conforms to most faces. Spy's Scoop ventilation system eliminates lens fogging to help you see obstacles and jibs more clearly. Dual lenses with total UV protection and anti-fog and anti-scratch protection make sure you clearly spot your landings. The Spy Targa II's dual-adjustment strap makes sure you find the right fit. Spy added silicone ribbing to the strap to ensure a secure fit.
These were my first goggles so I didn't know if they were good or not at first, but then my brother got a pair of $60 goggles. HUGE DIFFERENCE. Believe me, don't cheap out on goggles. These are super hard to breathe out of, and are very bulky, which makes it hard to see down. They have some good features, but I think the cons outweigh the pros. I couldn't wear these for long periods of time, and I had to get a new pair.
I bought these goggles and rode a few days with them, but never could get them to fit me quite right, which sucks cuz they were super cool. I ended up giving them to a friend and they are more than happy with them.
Dogfunk.com knows that no one wants the used-car-salesman experience, so we decided to show you the other guys prices in an effort to keep your shopping experience as informed as possible. I love these goggles but they press my nostrils and I can't breathe freely. Guess they are a bit big or they got too much sponge inside. What can I do?
Goggles fit perfectly on my head and could stretch a ton to fit all the melon heads out there..they also don't fog up at all, great buy at a great price
It may be a little dark for night. The yellow with Green Spectra has around a 43% visible light transmission. However, you can purchase an additional clear lens that would work awesome.
these goggles aren't half bad, they look good, hold up to my abuse, and best of all, i've never seen fog on the lenses; they seem to be built okay for being just plastic, the rubber behind the strap is nice, and they're all kinds of flexible, if you can get a good deal on them i'd say jump on it
Could definitely run the Targa IIs for MX or mountain biking, I would just recommend a clear or Persimmon lens if you spend most of your time riding in the woods.
Usually the best lens for night riding is either a yellow or clear lens. Out of the lenses we currently have in stock, the Persimmon lens would be the most transferable from day to night riding conditions.
Here is a breakdown of the lens options we currently have in stock in the Targa II:
Bronze Silver Mirror = Best for the brightest/sunniest conditions. Bronze = Best for sunny conditions. Persimmon = Best for partly cloudy or overcast conditions.
Keep in mind, if you want to get an extra lens for different light conditions, we do sell replacement lenses for this goggle as Item# SPY0230 or at: http://www.dogfunk.com/spy-targa-ii-goggle-replacement-lens
FINALLY i found a brand i can trust - NO FOG WHATSOEVER!!! not bad looking and 100% functional.
im glad i got these goggles. cheap only 49.99 for these is an unbelievable price for what you get.. these seem like top of the line and they have a very reasonable price. once they wear out (not anytime soon) ill get another of the same pair.
Bought these for the BF and he digs them. Went w/ the basic pop pop print and they are soooo sick! He said "they are very comfortable and the lens works great for night riding, no orange tint just a slight grey which he loves.
Got these as a gift and they work great so far. I go to the mountain almost everyday and I have no problems with these goggles. The only thing to look out for is that I have a big noes and I have to wear the goggles a little high on my noes because I like to keep my noes passages open for optimal breathing when I shred the hardcore gnar gnar pow pow but overall I like em alot. Also, there is a sweet little strip on the inside of the band thats helps the goggles stay stuck with your beanie. You can see the strip on the black-black-bronze goggles if they are still in stock. Good for the price. Keep shredin
There is no difference between the colour-ways of the goggles. Every Targa 2 is the same size no matter of the print. So the goggles is M/L and fits many different sizes of faces/heads. And everything on DF is in American dollars. Hope this helped
i wore these goggles for my first trip of the season and they did not seem to fit my face at all .they kept slipping and just it was irritating. i ended up giving them to my fiance for xmas ;) lol
"A MODERN STYLED CYLINDRICAL GOGGLE THAT FITS MOST FACES." SPYOPTIC.com That means that the peripheral on these is average with other goggles because cylindrical is kind of the industry standard for all goggles (least in the past). If your looking for more peripheral, like you can't even see the goggles you are wearing, I would suggest looking for Spherical Lenses, ELECTRIC EG1s or EG2, and from spy APOLLO, SOLDIER, BIAS. I acctually haven't riden with Spy's since I was a little grom, SO hopefully i gearhead will stop by here and give you more help. Till then, Hope this helps. Kyle
I have had these goggles for four and a half years and I use them at least 25 times a season. These are by far the mst durable goggles I have EVER had. even though they have the plastic frame, they hold up remarkably well and refuses to scratch. The lenses are also extremely scratch resistant, I have face-planted quite a few times and there very minimal scratches on them. The strap is great, especially the sticky grip that keeps them on your helmet. only problem with the strap is that it gets stretched after a while. Overall an incredible goggle, have NEVER fogged up on me, defintely worth the price.
Those googles are pretty comfortable, light weight, perfect vision when you have them on, etc. The only problem is that they are really delicate. I got the ones with gold mirror and after 3 days some of the gold thing stated peeling from the glass. That was really disappointing. However they still work perfectly, they just don't look new anymore.
Decent pair of goggles. I didn't have any fog issues at all and they were pretty stable throughout the trips even after a few hard falls. Highly recommended.
