Description

Free The Whales? Not quite.

If you grew up on a steady diet of punk rock rather than Internet message boards, you know what FTW really stands for. This Stepchild snowboard features a lightweight bamboo-core construction and reverse-camber shape for all-around freestyle awesomeness.
  • Rocker profile lifts your contact points out of the snow for a loose, pressy ride and awesome float in powder
  • Armadillo Plate ramps up durability in high-stress binding zones
  • Bamboo core reduces weight and improves pop/durability
  • Sintered base absorbs plenty o' wax for knuckle-clearing speed in all conditions

how well dose this ride in deep pow?

Hey Jordan,

It will do just fine but if you want a board for deep pow there are much better options out there. Salomon Powder Snake, Nitro Slash, Capita Charlie Slasher, etc.

I am 5'10" 170lb I have a 158 board right now but I am looking for a smaller park board that can still go all mountain. Would the 154 be too small for a rider my size?

I'm about the same weight as you and ride a 154cm as my go to board. I have a 160cm for deep pow but everyday riding i love my 154.

Perfect Combo Board

I'm 5'10" 200 pounds. Pretty much ride the entire mountain. Park, Pipe, Pow etc. I'm a heavy foot rider and like to put power into my turns and slashes. This board takes the abuse.

It's pretty easy to find a great pow board. It's not so easy to find 1 board that can go from pow to park. The FTW kills it.

Main reason i like this board is it's a stiff rocker board. The rocker is pretty mellow. It holds an edge on crud. It has pop off kickers and jumps. Easy to press on rails. Super responsive carving turns and at high speeds.

If you are like me and don't want to deal with switching set ups and like a stock do it all board the FTW is perfect.

Only complaint is the graphic. Hopefully StepChild will clean this board up a bit next season.

Regardless it's a near perfect board for my style riding.

Megadestroyer

Bamboo Core and amazing flex. I really like this as my pow board. But it's cool that I can take it in the park and feel good on it, especially on landings.
