Description

The Everyman's jib board.

The Stepchild JibStick Snowboard won't discriminate against you whether you're a seasoned jib-ninja slaying street rails or a noob just getting started messing around on boxes in the park. The JibStick's forgiving rocker, moderate flex, and easy steering capabilities make this a versatile freestyle deck for anybody.
  • Rocker (reverse camber) profile flips your world upside down for a loose and catch-free feeling
  • True twin shape uses identical nose and tail length, a centered stance, and centered sidecut, making it ideal for freestyle riding
  • RETT (Round Edge Tapered Tuning) uses factory de-tuned edges between the bindings and gradually becomes sharper as it towards the nose and tail
  • Trojan Rubber 2.0 is exclusive to the Jib Stick; two vibration dampening rubber strips are infused inside the boards sidewall where chatter strikes first
  • Snag Free base doesn't use any die-cut graphics or joints to ensure it won't increase drag, the board is then hardened in a temperature control system that cooks the material to be extra fast and hard

Super Fun!

Super fun in the park, not so great on all this crusty man-made snow. The RETT doesn't allow you to carve very well on hard pack, but at least you won't have to bust out the table grinder to round off those edges. Deck has good pop and stability, pretty flexible, but not a limp noodle. Great buy at $250!

JIB STICK SON

i absolutly love this board the graphics are tight and now i can do a proper review cause ive taken this beauty out 2 times one at a rail comp and once at opening day at brighton UT where they got 4 feet of the good stuff, at the comp it was a never ridden board and i jumped right into into the rainbow rail and it glided perfectly over it that RETT worked amazing for the gap to mailbox boarddslide to 270 out later that week i went to opeining day and hit some good sized cliffs (10 - 15ft) the board is very forgiving but can hold its own on stomping shiz on a sick cliff drop, it was great in the park , it also did good on sidehits going down the groomers i would take this deck anywehre from urban to jib to park to kickers (0 - 50ft) groomers and pow when its all said and done i love this deck and will probably get this or the rome mod (casue i want a little more pop)

Great Value

Sick board. I have ridden quite a few boards in the last few years, including the lib tech TRS and Burton Custom, both with the rocker. The custom was simply not durable enough, whereas the TRS was way too stiff for my liking. This board is a happy medium between the two as far as flex, and the durability of the jibstick is outrageous. We had horrible conditions in Utah this past year and this board took it like a champ. Definitely recommend.

haha another question i just recently got this board and its pretty sick but i noticed that the rocker isnt super extreme is this board not very rocked compared to other board? and the tips of the nose and tail arent lifted very much so this just doesnt seem that rockerd.. so is it just me or is it like just a little bit rocker?????

Responded on

Hey Hyrum,

This board has your classic reverse camber profile so its going to be between your feet where the rocker is taking place, not at the tip and tail so much. A normal camber board will have a bit of space in between the inserts where the board is raised off of the ground. With this you board it will make contact with the ground in the middle and then curve up from that point out.

hey i just ordered this and in 148cm but im mostly up on the hill taking gnarly park laps but since i live in utah there will be deeeep pow days so im wondering how this will hold up in the pow?????

Responded on

Hey Hyrum,

The board will be fine in the pow based on its reverse camber and the bit of stiffness thrown in. I would just be more concerned with the size, if the board is sized strictly for park and super small for you then its going to be a pain in the powder regardless which board you have.

hey, i'm 5'7 & 140, would the 148 be big enough??? Cheers

Hey Trent,

Yeah the 148 should be great for you actually. Go up to 150cm if you want to have it be more versatile as the 148 would be best suited for park and freestyle riding.

i'm 5'3" and 115 pounds, would a 143 be the right size?

Responded on

For freestyle, Id recommend the 143 or 148

Responded on

go 148... 143 might look a bit small on you

Responded on

not a 143 thats really small. if you're only riding park than 148 would be awesome but a 153 is ideal, I'm 106 lbs. and 5'3 so i ride the 153 because i'll grow into the board and it is a better all around board. Hope this helps!

Best Jib board.

This is my board of choice for any park or urban day. Perfect medium flex and the RETT made it ready to go right out of the package. It holds it's own out in the powder but definitely makes life a lot easier on park days. Progress faster in the park on this board and loads of pop especially for a reverse camber deck. This board is loaded with goods and you can definitely tell when riding it.
