Stepchild Snowboards JP Walker Pro Model Snowboard - 2010

The odds are good that JP Walker's been filming banger video parts for longer than you've even been snowboarding. His pro-model Stepchild board delivers a moderate flex and tons of pop to help you get down from mellow park laps to late-night rail missions. The zero-camber shape locks into presses and slides, and avoids the limp-dick feel you often get when ollieing full-rocker boards.

  • Zero Camber shape is totally flat to balance a forgiving, catch-free feel with high-speed stability and pop
  • KEVLAR® strips running the length of the board add durability and ollie power
  • Diamond-shaped fiberglass Armadillo Plate under the inserts resists impact damage from rugged landings
  • Kicker III poplar-wood core uses strategic beech inserts to maximize durability and stability
  • Triaxial fiberglass wrap delivers a moderate flex that handles jumps and rails equally well

Bottom Line: Praise Jah!

How easily will this board do presses, and butters? I know it

How easily will this board do presses, and butters? I know it will hold up good for jumps, but i'm unsure about the flat chamber for flexing

Great Board!!!!!!!!

This is a great all around board it is a stiffer board in between the bindings witch gives this board a ton of pop and helps it float in deep powder. It is also a softer board out side of the bindings witch helps it press really well and just makes it a all around better ride. And this year it has a zero camber that means it a flat board when you put any wight on it and this also helps with the jibs and riding in the deep stuff...... Hope this helps anyone looking at this board

How would the flat camber feel on this board?

Will it be easy to do presses/ground tricks?

How does this board ride? I've been looking for a jib board

How does this board ride? I've been looking for a jib board all summer and I've definitely had my eyes on this one. I like that this one isn't reverse cambered, and I'm down to try they flat camber, but I have no experience with that.

well this board is not a vary soft board but it is still a solid jib board because when JP designs his board what he does is make the nose and tail soft and stiffen up the middle so that it will still float in powder and still have a ton of pop...but if your willing to go other places with your money as far as the board goes for a great jib board that still has pop and can still go in powder id go with the DC PBJ its an amazing board that can handle everything... but if you want a jib only board id look at the stepchild jib-stick or the Joe Sexton pro model or the technine Lucas Magoon pro model or the Technine Re-Enforcer, or even the Ride Crush are all great jib boards.
