Stepchild Snowboards LatchKey Snowboard - Reverse Camber - 2012

Once you get hooked on riding the Stepchild LatchKey Reverse Camber Snowboard, you'll be tempted to experiment with more serious moves. That's because the lightweight Kicker I core and the forgiving Rocker profile make it easy to try new things in the park; if you're not careful, this can lead to a lifelong shreddiction.

  • Rocker is flat between the bindings with a rockered tip and tail for a playful, forgiving ride and serious float in powder
  • Biax glass offers a soft, forgiving flex
  • Armadillo Plate diamond-shaped fiberglass plates are placed over the inserts for increased durability
  • Kicker I core is tip-to-tail poplar for light weight and a consistent flex
  • Twin shape for easy switch tricks
  • Snag-Free base is cooked while the board is being pressed so it is harder and less likely to snag during slides

Bottom Line: Gateway drug to harder tricks.

Kills it

This board is awesome! At first I was concerned because the shape of this board is pretty reverse, but after riding I fell in love. It is perfectly stiff for holding an edge and taking some harsh landings but plenty soft to press to the moon. I have also ridden in some deeper snow, but because of the park specific technology and the sizes its best inside terrain park lines. I have the 148, and am about 5'10 so its very park oriented for me.

Sick board

This board is a lot of fun to ride because its so soft and flexible, great park board and holds up all over the mtn and in pow. i would recommend it to a intermediate rider or above not for a beginner.

Sick board sick brand

Unreal board. Stepchild is a sick brand in itself and they definitely know what they're doin. This board had a perfect flex for jibbin and park but isn't too much of a noodle so it can still charge through some pow

Park board, but can go all around

By:

This is a really awesome board. It's on the softer side, but it's stiff enough to hold the edge and take off some jumps. Because this board is reverse camber, I can also take it out in the pow and still be able to cruise. Def recommend it!
