No it won't be the EXACT same but very close. So if you fit in an XL but just want the longer inseam you're going to get just a little more waist and crotch too.

fyi... team rider Derek Dennison is only 5'6" and rocks size Large pants. Although he likes 'em baggy. If you are worried about them fitting to big, then go with the Small. Also, keep in mind... Dogfunk has an excellent return policy:

Yeah I would go with a Medium, although they may be a little baggy for you this/next season. But I like that you are thinking ahead and leaving room to grow... Also, buying one size too big is pretty much standard procedure when it comes to rocking Technine!

The insulated version of this pant will still be the same bagginess. Just some more fill for warmth/comfort. The venting will keep you cool on those warm days! Enjoy the season!
