Works, but "fragrance" is weird smelling
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Just got this item, and used it on 2 trips so far.
I was debating between this and the hotronics snapdry, which are similar in concept. The pivoting nature of the arms is why I picked this one.
It will put out slow stream of air that are just a little over body temp, so no worrying about overcooking your boots, and my not-too-wet ski-boots were dry using the 3hours timer.
One thing to note, the unit has a "fragrance" bar in there; which adds fragrance to "deodorize" your boots. The smell is not good, a little like weird housecleaner, and will prevade your room. The instructions do say that over time it will wear off, hopefully this occur sooner.
If it keeps working as it does right now, I'm happy with it.
But giving it 4stars, because although it's the premium model and expensive it's missing some things that other products have:
-nozzle tips for glove
-disassembly/fit into your boots capability
-12v adapter to use in car.
It just plain works!
I bought the previous style of this three years ago, and it works great!
The timer is a good option that mind does not have, mainly because it is quiet and easy to forget about and burn electricity unnecessarily.
Quiet, dependable, and really easy to pack if you are traveling, and comes in handy for gloves as well.
Therm-ic: Dry & warm boots
whether it's from slush boarding or excessive sweat that leaves you with soggy boots, this dryer works great with the built in timer. it's whisper quiet for over night drying & a must for those 3+ days in a row ski/snowboarding trips.
