My question: Are the 32 jackets also a little bit bigger then "standard" lables (for example a DC Jacket is ideal in size S for me)..

I love this jacket it's looking REALLY good.
I had it 3 months ago but now, I have some problems with the zipper: the right side is broken. I just hope that thirty two will do something for me. Maybe they will make the zipper more resistant next year, I hope so.

Great fit, I usually wear a medium in other brands (686 & Foursquare/Special Blend), but went up a size in ThirtyTwo this year and got a large-it was the right choice(not very baggy). It is truly a shell and for temperatures in the lower 20's you will need to wear a sweater underneath, but with the 30K waterproofing you're going to be dry. Big side pockets, good venting, and low profile style - try it if you like their boots, I think you'll like ThirtyTwo outerwear as well.

It is called Link system. The use it on the Alpha 3L jacket, Cappa jacket, Newcastle shell, Shiloh shell. As far as the pants go, any of those jackets will fit with the Alpha pant, Cappa pant, Cappa slim and Shiloh pant.

This jacket is a shell with no insulation. That said, it will be warm enough on all but the really cold days.

The jacket is dope. 3L keeps me completely dry. Just the right amount of pockets. I think the fit is great. Its baggy but not crazy. And its got the wrist gaiters! Normally 3L jackets don't come with gaiters. It is a shell so you need to layer accordingly. For a 3L jacket to be this price you can't beat it. Just compare the prices of Burton's 3L jackets to this one.
