Dominate everything that dares to stand in your way with the Thirty Two Focus Boa boot. The dual Boa closure allows you to fine-tune the fit by separating the boot into two zones. In other words, you can crank up the tension on your feet to keep them locked down, and tailor the tension up top to dial in your flex. Or vice versa, if that's how you roll. The Level 3 liner is highly supportive and heat moldable, so it feels broken in before you even get it on the hill. The stiff flex is supportive enough for hard charging riders to go from the park to the steeps, while the articulating cuff gives you some extra give for tweaking those grabs. There's external ankle support, for extra stability when you overshoot that big gap you've been looking at. The sole is a blend of hard-wearing rubber and STI foam, which keeps the weight down. Consider it an unlimited freestyle beast, hell bent on wreaking havoc on the hill.

Not for me

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Thought I would up grade from the TM-Two but don't like them. Not that comfortable to me. Lots of pressure points. Think I'll stick with my TM-Two's. My TM-Two's were comfortable the first time I put them on.

So far, so good...

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Was riding K2 Maysis, got 15 days out of them and they got sloppy. Picked up the Focus Boa, heated formed them and have ridden them 8 days--3 days icy and crusty conditions, performed very well, 3 days of knee deep and waist deep fresh again performed very well, 2 days of cream cheese in the trees, again great. They are comfy , warm and very adjustable. Am 51 yrs old, 5'10" 150 lbs, started riding 1985/86 season. I'm a rider not a slider but don't ride parks. Great all mountain boot. Runs large, I measured at an 8.5 but am in a 9.5 that feels great. Have already recommended it to a couple guys. Plan on riding at least 15 more days in them, hopefully they hold up and don't noodle on me. Thanks.

Not Too Shabby

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I ride in these boots every session, all winter long. Overall they're very good.

I love the boa system and will probably never go back to laces. These particular boots are excellent from the standpoint that they can be adjusted thru the two different boa areas. You can tighten just the ankle or just the foot or both. This makes the boot very versatile for the park where you may want more flex or for the BC if you want more support and response. The boa system holds very well and doesn't loosen throughout the day.

The issues? They squeak. This is a small gripe and I can't complain too much since every pair of boots I've ever worn has squeaked. Maybe it's just me :) The sound does make me nuts some days though.

Initially I had a couple of pressure points even after having them heat molded but that went away after about 5 wears.

Lastly, they run small. I wear a 9 1/2 (US)shoe and typically am in a 10 (US) boot. I wear these beasts as an 11 (US).

Closing statement: supportive, comfortable, go anywhere boot.
