is this jacket warm and insulated on its own or is it more like
is this jacket warm and insulated on its own or is it more like a basic shell? bassically should i be looking for a base layer along with it or will this be fine by itself on a cold night?

The 32 Vapor is a shell jacket with no insulation. The purpose of the jacket is maximum waterproofing and breathability, not necessarily warmth. You will need to layer up under this jacket.

no that would be a 3 in 1 jacket. 3 layer means that there is 3 layers to the gore-tex fabric which makes it more durable and a better quality build
