The Rüf is always on fire. You should be, too.
- Web design in the Contact Pro highback substantially reduces weight without sacrificing strength and support
- CNC Heelcup features holes where material is removed to reduce weight without reducing overall strength
- Multi-layer 3D EVA in the straps evenly distributes pressure for long-term comfort
- Grade 8.8 hardware is made from high-grade steel to provide exceptional strength and long life
- Magnesium used for the buckles is extremely light, easily recycled, and is one of the most abundant materials on the earth

Would a size 9 Salomon F 22 (which have a smaller foot print) fit the S/M? Thank you
It would be a stretch. Even if they did fit, you would have to max out the straps and ladders which is never good anyway...Just go with the M/L when they come back next season.

Any problems with how only 19% of the binding is actually attached to the board? Does it weaken the connection after a while and break?
I think ur confused a lil lol. Only 19% of the binder is actually touching your board, but that doesn't mean that only 19% of the binder is attached. The base plate attaches like any other base plate, but because of the EVA foam, it makes the binder pretty much float on your deck. 100% of the binding is attached, but the foam raises it up off of the board to allow for a 'more true' flex. But by only having 19% of the binding touching your board, that doesn't mean it's weakened by any means. I have a pair of '09 Contacts and they are stellar. I have had no problems with them as of yet and they are still gonna be with me for another few years, AT LEAST. So to answer your question in full, no they are not weakened by the contacts points, and yes they are as strong or stronger than anything out. Union all the way
If you're thinking about getting the contact pros, DO IT! you will NOT regret it.They are super light and have a bunch of padding to help dampen the bumps. It takes a few test runs to get them dialed in to your boots but once they're set up, they are perfect.
Soft and flexy with sizing issues
The pros:It's super light weight. Easy to tune. The toe cap is great (just remember to tune it to fit your boot, I put mine at the inner setting to have it wrap snuggly). The flex is super delicious. You can tweak them forever. The cons:The sizing is weird. I have a 9.5 ThirtyTwo Ultralight which should fit in the M/L. When setting up the binding it fit perfectly, but when strapping in I felt the binding pressing up against the sides of my foot. I also had to pull the strap to it inner most setting AND use the rachet to there were no more teeth on the strap. Maybe I just like to ride my bindings thight, or maybe Gigi (the designer) has enormous arches on his foot. I switched to the L/XL and adjusted it to fit my boot. The ankle strap still has some issues. In short:Awesome flexible. Add +1 to your US size when ordering binding. Ankle strap fits best on bulkier boots.
these bindings are so sick. ive ridden drake, ride, flux (titan), burton (P1) and i am currently on these. best bindings ive ever ridden. someone in a review mentioned a more form fitting highback, but i dont like that because the flat highback allows me to tweak grabs a lot more. these binders are bomb proof, look dope and are the lightest out there. they dont have any pressure points and will probably last me 3+ seasons. ive been riding mostly breck and keys park and they are holding up just fine on every feature through tough days of riding. I recommend buying these over any other binding out there. plus gigi is one of the sickest riders out there and def one of my heros
Great comfort and super light weight
I love these bindings for for their super light weight but more importantly their comfort. Super easy adjustments too. It took a little while to get use to these since I switched from the Union Force. These are not quite as responsive but that's ok because I don't need them to be. The quality of the synthetic leather in the straps is much better than the Force. The leather is not perforated, thin, and stretchy. They are solid pieces. The only only small complaint I have is the flat highback. Just a personal preference but I wish the highback was a little more curved to fit around the boot, but these are Gigi's personal design so there is not much we can do about it.

Trust in Unions!
Light weight, Plenty of Flex and Simple to setup. None of the BS you get with other bindings. Unions are definitely solid bindings and I have yet to break a pair.
Union Contact Pro
Uber Sick, cumfy & Light!!
I can't wait for snow so I can shred the Contact Pro's!! I Tested some out at a demo last year & fell in Love! I've been riding the Forces for a few years now, but will be switching to the Contact pro's this season. They have 4 different density's of eva foam under foot for a perfect flex w/your board. I love how light they are & how the highbacks are cut out to fit my hands into while hiking in the backcountry.
This may be the sickest Binding yet!!
