Union Contact Snowboard Binding

Scott Stevens chooses the Union Contact Snowboard Binding for its next-level board feel, jib-friendly flex, and lightweight, bomb-proof design. Feel your presses and tailslides lock in like never before, thanks to the super-tweakable Fusion highback and board-flex-enhancing baseplate bushings.

  • Fusion highbacks for serious tweakability, even in super cold temperatures
  • Contact aluminum/Zytel baseplate for durability and a dialed flex
  • Two dual-density bushings under your baseplate dampen impact and minimize the 'dead spot' under your feet
  • Aluminum buckles for smooth entry and exit
  • Open toe straps for secure grip either over the top or around the front of your boots
  • 3D Direct Connect ankle straps for a secure, plush fit with no pressure points
  • Quick-adjust forward lean for tool-free tweaks on the fly
  • Universal disc is compatible with all binding mounting patterns and allows fine-tuned stance adjustments

Bottom Line: Feel your board flex like never before.

Hi

I have a size 8 in a thirty two brand boot

You could go with either one. If you're on the taller or heavier side, I'd go with the m/l. If you find on the m/l your straps are a little long, you can take off the plastic attachment piece between your strap and binding.

Sick binders with a flaw

By:
January 28, 2013

These bindings look sick, they're light as a feather, and have great support but a ton of tweakability too. One problem is, after a month of riding the toes strap ratchets stop holding the way they did when they were new. As I'm riding down the hill the toe straps will come loose. So if your cool with swapping out straps, these bindings are for you!

I just found my bro's old skate banana and want to make it

I just found my bro's old skate banana and want to make it into a dedicated jib deck, but I need some relatively cheap jib oriented bindings ($160 and under at dogfunk's current sale prices). So far I'm thinking these, flux rk30s, or burton cobrasharks. What should I get? I'm open to other suggestions too.

I really don't think you'd be disappointed with any of those 3 options. I personally have ridden the contacts a bunch and they are perfect for a jib set up - comfy and soft. I have friends that ride the RK30s and cobrasharks and they seem to feel the same way about them. The unions are probably the softest option with the flux close behind and then the cobrasharks. Hope this helps!

The bindings are great, the flex is perfect for jibbing, sick colorways, and good quality. Can't ask for much more, can you?

I have the m/l and wear size 11, I would definitely step up to the l/xl though, because the m/l is a pretty tight fit.

I have the large xl and ride a size ten boot. My boots even say they have the footprint of a typical size nine boot. These bindings have a lot of adjustment available and I run mine at the smallest settings possible and they are perfect with my size ten boot. I think you could fit in the ml but you'd probably have to adjust them way out to fit.

Incredible

By:
January 2, 2013

I just got to try these out the other day and they are by far the best bindings i've ever owned. They flex great which makes them perfect for jibbing and are comfortable just cruisin in. Plus, the contact point on the bottom really helps for board feel and easier flex. Perfect binding.

They're SUPER light due to them being completely plastic except for the heel cup.

Great Shtuff

By:
December 27, 2012

Just picked up these binders a little over a week ago and instantly fell in love. First of all, they're super light which makes everything from jibbing rails to dangling your leg off the lift so much easier. Also the slits in the highback allow for really good twisting/sideways flex, but when you're leaning straight back into a heelside turn the highback stays super solid. The EVA padding under the bindings really do seem to add a lot of board feel underfoot as well. Overall, this is a really light and responsive binding -- 10/10 would ride again.

I've ordered these in size M/L, but now I'm afraid it

I've ordered these in size M/L, but now I'm afraid it might be too small for me. I have size 11 but I use 32 boots which I believe have a smaller outsole then other boots. What do you guys think?

yeah thats gonna be too small, i had size 10 32's and got m/l now im sending the bindings back because they pinch on the top... dont worry tho still getting the same bindings because they kick butt.

Hey Eric, I think your boots will most likely fit. Once you get them, lace your boots up and see if your bindings adjust well to them. If they are too small, just give us a call and we'll get you taken care of!

if you are going to be riding rails i would go with these. They are softer and would give you way more feel and tweak than the force. The forces are a stiffer binding made more for all mountain riding.

Flex is good! Toe strap not so much..

By:
October 24, 2012

Just got these a week ago and tried them out on my practice rail. The flex is superb and they feel awesome. The only complaint I have is the toe strap is pretty hard to release and I'm thinking it might eat up a couple pair of gloves this winter.

the toe ratchets release by pushing down on the front of the clip, not pulling up from the rear like other clips.

Adjust your toe straps so you have almost a inch of teeth showing between ratchet and baseplate.

Either the M/L or L/XL will work just fine. If you have a bulkier boot, I'd go with the L/XL, but if not, I'd prob go with the M/L for a more snug and responsive fit.

Awesome Flex!

By:
September 13, 2012

These bindings have the most flex out of all the Union bindings! They are pretty responsive, for how much flex they have. They make a great park binding, or even just a super fun all-mountain binding!
