The Vans skate team pooled all of their creativity to collectively design the Men's Chukka Low Skate Shoe. That's why it's such a simple design. The less-is-more concept applied to these classic kicks means long-lasting quality due to lack of excessive frills and unnecessary extras. A waffle sole improves board feel and adds cushioning to your landings and long skate sessions, while their light weight makes you feel like you're skating barefoot (which we don't recommend).
Bottom Line: Sometimes simple is better duh, right guys? Now back in your cages.
You can't go wrong with these shoes. Great feel, great fit, and they just look sick. True to size as I have 13's and they fit great. Kind of thin on the top part of the toe, but that is the only thing that I can complain about. Had the same pair for about 2 years now and the bottom sole is holding up great still and all the seams are staying together still. I haven't skated in these much, not a fan of the way they feel on my board, so this adds the how long they have lasted.

Right outta the box i always skate my shoes! i never wear them for a week to break them in, I ALWAYS SKATE THEM FIRST DAY! The Chucka's surprised me! They had amazing grip/feel and flip, Tres and Heels were easy to catch (I don't like kickflips) Now if your someone who's actually reading this, Please realize the only reason they are not rated 5 stars is because the sides of mine are made from a thinner canvas material, and will rip faster then most, I love Vans skate shoes! for a company to be around for as long as they have, it amazes me there success! A good buy in any skaters book! This review was based on 4 things -Grip/Boardfeel -Durability/Longevity -Flick/Proformance -Cushioning(The foot insoles are average)

these shoes provide the perfect amount of comfort/cushion, without losing hold for skating, and stuff. super flexible, and there are no weird pressure points. 100% recommend these shoes
No doubt about it - The Vans Chukka Low skate shoe is by far the best skate shoe out there. This shoe kills it with Comfort-ability, style and weight. It is also super grippy. This is a must-buy skate shoe! Will not be disappointed.
Just picked up a set of 10's in the Black/Mid Grey/Herringbone. The sole is a medium grey, and the color scheme on the shoe itself is wicked. Really solid design. Just like every other pair of Chuk's I've owned, 100% satisfied. Buy a pair.
Amazingly stylish and even more comfortable. Wear to the beach then out on a date later that night. Super versatile. Only reason its 4 *s is bc they wear out after a while. Wore mine at least 5 days a week for a year and they have been retired due to the sides ripping out and holes in the heels. Nevertheless, amazing shoe. Great buy.

Is it possible to request a size 9.5 for some vans Chukka Charcoal with Gum soles? Theres only two sizes. And i like those shoes, so is there a way to request that size for that same price?
I love this shoe to skate, it's amazing. The thin and lightweight design allow for versatility and flexibility. It's very durable and will last a good time even if you skate hard. The shape is great, I love getting new pairs of chukkas! Just picked a new one up and can't wait to get to slashing in them.
That is an older color way that isn't made anymore but the current Chukka Low in Keegan Sauder/Mustard are the same colors as in the detail view, just different.
So does every other shoe. These are truly affordable, whether you buy them on sale here, or pay fifty bucks for them in a store; you can't ever complain with price. And they perform moderately above their price-range. They aren't perfect, but they're comfortable, grippy, stylish and affordable. Win-win-win-win.
I got this shoe cause it was tye dye but in a few tricks i ripped a hole in the side. once the rubber on the toe rounds off with the suede it has no flick or grip looks sick comfy to walk in but skating isn't its strong suit.
I purchased these shoes 7 months ago and have worn them everywhere. Not much support for the arches if you plan on running in them, but that's not what they are meant for. All in all I have loved these shoes and am about to order myself a second pair.
These shoes are great! I've had them for a month now and I haven't had any problems. There super comfortable and they look amazing to. Plus seeing I got the red ones they helped my Cardinals win the World Series!!!
some of the models do have all leather, like the mo blue colorway is all leather, it just depends the colorway for some reason, so you'd just have to look at a store or just in person, and then buy them here
The Vans Chukka Low is a great shoe and does contain suede. The toe, heal and around the ankle are all suede with a canvas side panel. They currently do not make the Chukka Low in an action leather or all suede option. There is Vans 106 in an all black suede available. The 106 and the Chukka Low are pretty much the same shoe. The 106 just has less padding.
Vans has always made a quality product that gets better as you wear them so I guess it all depends on what you mean by last. The Van Chukka Low is a Vulcanize Rubber which is durable and will stand the wear and tear of everyday use. The upper on the shoe is usually a canvas. If you are using these to skate, the grip tape will wear a hole in the canvas but make these have that worn in look that people like. For day to day use and just something to wear around the Chukka Low is a great choice. I have about 5 pairs of Vans and have had some pairs for years.
I've got these in Seafoam and they're hot. These are super comfortable fresh out of the box. I always get a half size smaller in Vans. These can be cranked down pretty tight so whether your kickin cement or kickin ass these are stayin on your feet. My next set are going to be Orange then White. You can't have too many Chukkas.
The Van Chukka Low is usually made of a canvas or heavy fabric material. They are not leather so they will not last as long as a leather shoe would. Don't let that frighten you. They won't rip but they will get holes in them, especially in the ollie area. The holes are cool though and add a nice worn look to the shoe. I highly recommend the Chukka Low.
just got the jaime hart pair, and they're absolutely sick. simple while still maintaining that swag status. love the look and feel. Good summer shoe. Don't think, just buy!
Yes we do. The Vans Chukka Low in Grey/White just arrived. We don't have an image yet but feel free to purchase it in the size you need. We have men's sizes 8-13.
Vans usually have the tendency to run about a half size big. I wouldn't be afraid to buy the Chukka Low 11.5 though. I have a pair of the Manchester in the same size as my vans and the fit is very similar.
THey look and feel great. fantastic board feel but they blow out real fast. i wouldnt recommend them for actual boarding, I longboard, and foot dragging kills these shoes pretty fast. but, if you're looking for a casual shoe and aren't going to do much boarding with them. go for it.
I purchased a pair of Chukka Low's a couple weeks ago and I already have holes in them from skating. The holes are so big my socks are getting shredded. Bummer.
I really like these shoes and most of my friends wear vans. The only pear that i've ever had was the striped slip-ons and i never skated in those anyways so i'd like to know about how long they last on the board? I also wear size 10 in dvs and i've heard that vans tend to run big so should i get a size 9.5 or 10?
I read Jeeman's review and I'm thinking of getting a pair of these. I wear and 11 normally so do i want to go down to a 10.5 or 10. How much should i size down?
Great if your on a budget, but BEWARE padding is lacking, toe region rips very fast, and spreads rapidly, grip wears out in a matter of days, and such a low profile design my ankles were soooo bruised.
Although the price is nice, the board feel is amazing, you should take these points into consideration. Great for Chillin, Sub-Par for skating (for me).
Great sneakers, super comfy. I usually wear a 11.5/12 but i got these in a 10.5 because I found them to run a little big. I got them in seafoam and theyre great I love them especially for only 50 bucks. I don't skate in them, but if I did I can tell theyd get ripped up pretty quickly, the vulcanized sides are detaching from the bottoms in the back a little bit already and i've had them for only a couple weeks.
I love this shoe, just bought my 3rd pair and will be getting a 4th shortly. This shoe has everything that is great about the Authentics with better comfort. Try them out... you won't be disappointed.
I love the chukka. After on and off skating for over 10 years, this is my favorite shoe all time. I've had at least 6-7 pairs of them. The grip / feel is unmatchable imo. The side panels will rip early (the canvas part), but there is a more durable material behind it, so they'll keep skating great for a while afterward. I usually burn through the soles before I completely tear through anywhere else. Size wise, I wear 9.5 in all vans vulks, including these
Picked these up quite a while ago and they're still comfortable as ever. Left shoe came a little warped from shipping but after a few days of use they fit just fine. Pretty legit for skating but the sole (with most vans) will ware out pretty quickly on the long board.
These shoes are super sick. They are way comfortable and they look steezy. I havent had any trouble with them when i have skated. they seem to hold up pretty good for me but im not a super aggressive skater. Overall great looking shoe and super comfy!!!
If you are looking for a shoe to last a long time skating, this is not the one. But they are really comfortable to just cruise in and the are really great for long boarding.
One of the best skate shoes on the market. Waffled sole, comfy, durable and long lasting. This is my second pair and the the Chukka Low is a killer shoe for skating.
I have been skating for well too long. Anyway the best way to make vans last longer than your third week is to pre glue all of the seems. So where your board is going to hit the seems put a dab of super glue on there. Not enough to throw your board out of wack but enough to hold the seems tight. Also always be sure to put a little extra glue where the rubber meets the leather.
