Old-meets-new style and functionality.
Vans took the their top-of-the-line tech and infused it with classic style borrowed from the hiking world to make the Vans Infuse Boa Snowboard Boot. The Infuse Boa features a rugged exterior and a super-plush interior to ensure durability and comfort on all snow types and terrain. And to achieve a super-customized fit, you will find a hybrid closure system consisting of both Boa and traditional laces to blend ease of use with old-school reliability.
The Hybrid Boa system is a Vans first, and it combines the classic feel of traditional laces, with a Boa system to lock your heel in place and keep it snugged down all day. The waterproof full grain leather upper isn't just sweet looking, it's super durable as well. The power strap cuff, and Flex Control tongue inserts give you a ton of control over how much flex your boots have, from freestyle and forgiving, to stiff and hard charging. The Custom X liner is heat moldable, so you can get a perfectly broken-in fit before you ever slip them on. A V Tech footbed uses slow rebounding EVA to fight off heel bruises, minimize chatter, and provide optimized arch support. If you have a set of well broken in hiking boots that you wear everywhere, consider the Infuse the on-snow version. You'll be bummed when it's time to take them off.

- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
---ZERO heel lift
---Tons of options for customizing the boot between the boa, laces, upper strap, and optional tongue stiffners
---Tried on side by side with Ride Trident and DC Travis Rice, and these boots are initially stiffer and have much better heel hold
---Very stiff and responsive. Will soften as the leather breaks in, but you can add the tongue stiffners back if more stiffness is desired.
---Foot beed is amazing
---Neoprene on to end of the bootie cushions toes well when riding the boot looser and slamming on your heel side edge.
---does take some time to break them in. Recommend throwing your local shop a $20 spot to have them heat molded if you buy them on line.

Would these be suitable for splitboarding?
If not, what would you recommend?
These would work good for touring. Just open the boa while skinning and tighten back up for the ride down. I've also used the DC Judge, nice with the vented upper and dual boa, and the Deeluxe spark xv, very solid for kicking in steps when boot packing but no boa...

does vans use 1:1 liner/ shell sizing? in other words Is a 9.5 liner mated to a 9.5 shell or a size 10 shell.
Vans does deal with half sizes by putting a half size liner in a full size shell. So if you do get a 9.5 the shell would be the same as a 10.
Hope that helps
