Moguls are awesome, too. (BLEAH!)
Get your powder fix long after the lifts are dishing out wall-to-wall hardpack. The Voile Split Board has been the industry standard for years, and now Voile cranks it up a notch with the Mojo RX. The Mojo gives you a rockered nose and tapered tail for better flotation in powder, while keeping the best qualities of the original Mojo. The Mojo comes with all the splitboard hardware and skins, so just add bindings and watch the powder fly.

Voile going outta bounds
Smooth riding on the Mojo

Let me preface my review with this: I have never splitboarded before. Never ridden any other splitboards besides this.
I guess maybe I had different expectations for what this board would feel like. It's heavy. Like... really heavy. Could definitely be because I'm used to riding light park boards, but this thing felt like a tank.
Something about this board just felt... off. I consider myself a pretty good rider and this thing had me totally off my game. Tons of things this could be attributed to (heavy PNW snow, me being used to riding a true twin vs a tapered directional powder board, me having size 9.5 boots on a board this wide... the list goes on).
It felt like it just wanted to point in a straight line, and if I tried to force it to do anything else I felt the flex of the board hindering me.
It's a splitboard, you can get out in the backcountry with a lot less effort (ONCE YOU MASTER IT!)
Doesn't handle hardpack well
Too wide for smaller feet? (I got a 161)
Difficult to learn without guidance
Flex is weird
Guess it's back to the park and riding inbounds for me!
i love the backcountry.....but im confused...
i love the backcountry.....but im confused to why these board would be the best for the trees....and also the binding setup is weird to me
This is a split board. It is not "best for the trees". The boards splits down the middle and acts as skis so that you can skin up a mountain side to gain access to hard to reach areas. You then put the board back together and snowboard down, that is why the bindings look so weird. They convert from a ski type binding that lifts in the heels so you can walk in them, to a legit snowboard binding for the ride down.
Pure Happiness on Your Feet!!!!
I am riding the 161 with Spark bindings and Burton Driver X's (165 lbs 5'10"). This is the second split from Voile I have owned the other being the 166 Mojo. I am also riding the following solid boards: 162 Burton Malolo, 159 Burton Vapor. This board and the 162 Burton Malolo (camber only version) have very similar dimensions the only difference being the tip rocker on the Voile Mojo Rx.
Riding this split makes me feel like I am on a gravy train with biscuit wheels. It climbs great and descends even better. Riding this board is almost like cheating the amount of rocker is just enough to make the tip unsinkable without sacrificing stability. The rocker also makes it hard to hook the tip when you are not intending to. This is especially noticeable when riding conditions are not ideal (crust, upsidedown snow,etc..). While on groomers the rockered part of the tip does vibrate, but it does not effect edge hold or performance (the part that vibrates is off the snow and it is dampened). If you have ridden a board similar to Malolo and like it this is the split for you.
What is included with this board? It says...
What is included with this board? It says it comes with skins, is this true?
Basically what I'm asking is if I have bindings already, do I just need to purchase this in order to get out there?
Yes, all you need is a pair of bindings-as far as the board goes...... Collapsable poles, beacon, avalung, shovel/probe etc etc.
