Volcom Adapt Insulated Jacket - Women's - 2010

The Volcom Women’s Adapt Insulated Jacket has the snappy look of a cargo-style snowboard shell, yet its fluffy high-loft insulation offers the warmth of a puffy jacket. Reach for this jacket on chilly mountain shred-days. If you break the sound barrier in the terrain park, just open the mesh-lined zip vents so you don’t spontaneously combust. A roomy hood adjusts to maintain your peripheral vision and a stretchy powder skirt seals the snow out on stormy days.

Bottom Line: Oh-so-versatile.

I'm still finding pockets

By:

I can tell this jacket is going to be super warm. The front pockets do kinda suck to get into, but it looks so good I forget about it.

I'm 5'9" and weigh about 130 pounds. I like my jacket's long enough, especially since I'm tall. I usually wear a size small in most clothing. Whats my ideal size in this jacket?

Love it!

Just got my jacket in the post this week! (so quick, shipped to Sydney in 7 days)
Can't wait to take it out.
there are plenty of sneaky pockets and zips. the images don't do it justice. the fabric has a shiny-looking print which is cool.
Only issues are the hood isn't removable (no big drama) and the pockets with the rainbow strapping are way too difficult to undo, especially if you're wearing gloves. plenty of other pockets to choose from though.

Cozy warm without too much bulk. I agree that the pockets are a bit cumbersome with the buckle, but I still like the way it looks.

LOVE the color, rainbow pockets, design!

By:
April 16, 2010

I love this jacket! It seems to have mediocre reviews and yes the pockets are hard to undo, but the rainbow design totally makes up for that!

The real color is more like a teal, but I think I actually prefer that. It's really warm, a great lenth (maybe it's longer on me because i'm 5'3" and got a Medium but I like it that way). To give you an idea, I'm 5'3" and weigh about 140 lbs., and the Medium is a good fit. It's a little roomy with just a tee shirt underneath but if you figure in layers and some room to move, I think it's gonna be a perfect fit.

Also, the print on the inside of the jacket is rad, and there's some nice fleece fur lining on the back of the neck area before the hood starts, I just thought it was a nice touch. Buy this! :)

Does this jacket have a hidden pocket once the jacket is zipped

Does this jacket have a hidden pocket once the jacket is zipped all the way in the chest area by the zipper? My girlfriend wants a jacket where she can get in and out of her pocket WITHOUT having to reach inside her jacket everytime to use her mp3. Let me know thanks...

wrong color

great jacket. however, emerald green color is NOT what it looks like online. actually like a bright turquoise/green. being that the name is emerald green, i guess i should have assumed it wouldn't be blue like it was in the picture... just keep that in mind if you are thinking of buying it.

Great Jacket

By:
March 22, 2010

I love this jacket despite the obvious - those rainbow ribbon clasps on the pockets are difficult to access even after you've taken off your gloves. It does have plenty of other pockets though, enough so that I stopped using the clasp pockets after one day of fumbling around for my stuff. The rainbow ribbons make this jacket stylishly retro, but they should close with a snap, not a belt-like clasp. That said, several people commented on how adorable my jacket was, it kept me super warm, and the bright orange color made me easily-identifiable when I was looking for friends in a crowd.

AWESOME! 2 THE MAX

By:
March 1, 2010

I love this jacket, just love it! It has all these cool little pockets EVERYWHERE! And, they can zip into my snow pants! However, I broke my wrist (snowboarding) 2 days before I got my jacket. So I'm not too sure how it will work out on a run. But I love it anyway. A very cozy rockin' jacket!
