A smart jacket for mountain ladies.
Slanted seams give the Volcom Women’s Albedo Insulated Jacket some personality all of its own. Zip it on over your bunny-print long johns and show folks your mountain flair. Plush poly insulation and a durable V-Science weather-resistant shell keep you toasty-warm, and oodles of pockets carry the gummy bears you need to succeed. Open the mesh-lined underarm vents if you’ve had so much caffeine that your metabolism doubles and makes you hot. A powder skirt spares you the ol’ snow-up-your-back mid-day crisis.

what is the waterproof rating? 10k? 5k? "water-resistant" isn't very explanatory.

What temperature range is this jacket good for?
I live in a sub arctic climate and it gets pretty chilly here.
This jacket has an 80g polyfill, which is a midweight jacket .. if you're looking for something you could wear tee-shirts underneath and still need to zip down the underarm vents, then look for a jacket with a 120g fill.. this one would be fine if you layer with the longjohns and a sweater, etc :)

How does the hood fit? Is there still enough room with a hat underneath?
yea hood is good, I can fit my helmet under and get the hood up.
Awesome jacket, the blue looks even better in person. This jacket (along with all Volcom snow wear in my opinion) fits a little big. I am a size small and (the small) fit perfect. The medium would have been too baggy.
