You’re. Seriously. Freezing. All the time, no matter what your mama told you to layer under your snowboard jacket. Thank goodness, then, that other freezing people designed the Volcom Women’s Century Heated Jacket. A resilient outer shell blocks the snow, and an inner heated fleece warms your chilly self no matter how the temps drop or the wind howls. Just stuff a couple of AA’s in the battery pack (which you’ll want to remove when you wash it) and set the fleece’s heat setting to low or high…. Aaaaaaaaaah. Glorious. Remove the heated fleece and ride in the shell only on warm spring days. Either way you wear the Century Jacket, its roomy hood, tons of pockets, and powder skirt serve you well on the mountain.

Freaking wicked!

Absolutely wicked jacket! It arrived today in just over a week (Brisbane, Australia) and although its 30 degrees I didn't take it off for half the day.

I like to wear my jackets big ( but not to the point i look like im drowning in it) to fit extra layering underneath and so I have plenty of room to move. I'm an Australian size 8, 52kg (114 pounds) and 166cm (5'4") tall and I bought the medium and couldn't be happier.

The inner hoodie zips out easily and looks great on its own ( kind of a black and white large leopard print like the "Dot Mess" hoodie with orange zips and hood cord). There are lots of pockets to stash your stuff, fuzzy lining in the pockets and round the neck to keep you comfortable and toasty and I love that its long enough to cover my bum and keep the snow OUT ( it also zips perfectly to my Volcom pants).
I bought the glowlight pattern and LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Probably my favorite jacket to date and comes HIGHLY recommended, now I just need to make sure my sister doesn't nick it.....

Does this jacket have the zip interface with Volcom pants?

Best Jacket I ever bought!

This jacket is awesome! Fits great and is cozy warm when you use the built-in heater. I live where the temperature drops to -40 C for weeks on end, so this winter all I can say is, "Bring it on!!"

How is the size on this jacket? I don't want a very slim jacket, and I usually use size S-M, should I size up to L then? Or is that really big?

Responded on

Most XL jackets fit in the shoulders but are too loose around the waist/butt. I bought a women's XL as I've got very broad shoulders and it fits great ~ no big skirt thing happening here! If you have an average build it possibly could be slimmer than what you're looking for, but I would order it in the size you usually wear ~ any bigger and the shoulders would be poofy and the sleeves too long. That just my opinion though! Hope this helps!

This jacket looks sweet, but how will the battery and heating hold up if you get snow or moisture in it.

Has anyone had any problems with the heater part of the jacket breaking or not working? It sounds very appealing and the price tag may be worth it. But i would be very disappointed to spend so much extra on the heated part, only to end up with a "normal" jacket if it were to break.
