- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share
For the price and tech specs, I wasn't expecting these pants to be comparable to something made of a Gore material. They are thin, but that's to be expected for a shell pant. In Utah, where it could be 0 degrees or 55 degrees, it's nice to have a shell like this and choose base layers accordingly. They are longer fit, so the cuffs may drag for some shorter riders.
Eh...not worth it

I ordered these and was so stoked to get them. I have had this one pair of Volcom pants for the past 6 some off years that still look brand new and perform as if I had bought them the other day.
I thought the Elko pant was going to be a massive upgrade, instead they were a downgrade.
They were SO thin and flimsy. They didn't even feel like how snow pants should. The material felt like pant material. I sized up to a large (current pair is a medium) and the pants were so tight on my thighs (which are quite muscular) but were extremely loose on my hips.
I was so hoping Volcom would hit the mark on these pants but the too thin and the pants were so long. They were really ill-fitting.
I'm back on the hunt for a new pair.
