Fabric does not hold up
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I love these pants for the color, the fit, and the style. Received many complements on them. However, the thin materiel just above the reinforced section of the cuff sliced and shredded. I don't even know when it happened..never had a hard fall. Reinforced area should have been higher up the leg and on the inside. Also, snap does not work. Have been extremely hard on pants in the past and have never had a pair that tore so easily. Paid full price, too ($150) so am disappointed.
No one will miss seeing you stomp tricks
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift
- Fit: True to size
For the price and tech specs, I wasn't expecting these pants to be comparable to something made of a Gore material. They are thin, but that's to be expected for a shell pant. In Utah, where it could be 0 degrees or 55 degrees, it's nice to have a shell like this and choose base layers accordingly. They are longer fit, so the cuffs may drag for some shorter riders.
Eh...not worth it
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
I ordered these and was so stoked to get them. I have had this one pair of Volcom pants for the past 6 some off years that still look brand new and perform as if I had bought them the other day.
I thought the Elko pant was going to be a massive upgrade, instead they were a downgrade.
They were SO thin and flimsy. They didn't even feel like how snow pants should. The material felt like pant material. I sized up to a large (current pair is a medium) and the pants were so tight on my thighs (which are quite muscular) but were extremely loose on my hips.
I was so hoping Volcom would hit the mark on these pants but the too thin and the pants were so long. They were really ill-fitting.
I'm back on the hunt for a new pair.
