There is no place for a skateboard. They are 3 separate pockets.

Great backpack, tons of pockets, cool back side pocket for laptops. plus tons of other pockets to put all your stuff in. Would recommend for anyone in school laptop or not. Thanks again, VOlcom!

This backpack has it all. It has a padded pocket for your laptop and enough room to carry what you need. Since the laptop is in a separate compartment against your back, it doesn't take up room inside the backpack; so you can carry your books and other class material at ease. The outer pockets are big enough to carry your laptop charger, mouse, and any other semi small accessories. And of course the backpack is super comfortable, which is what matters. Defiantly an upgrade to my old Volcom laptop backpack.
