These pants are rad! One minor issue I have with them is that the leg vent go kind of diagonal up your leg so it feels a bit weird when you have them open, but other than that they are great!

Size small will fit you better - according to the size chart, size small is for 30-32 inch waist.

I picked up a pair of the reflect in black and the empire in moss and these are by far the best pants i have ever had. volcom nailed it with the modern articulated fit

I got these pants in the bright red color - super vivid red-orange. The fit is perfect, slim but definitely not constricting. I'm 6 feet tall with a 32 waist and got larges. The waist is loose and I need to wear a belt. I definitely could've gotten mediums, but I like a little extra room in the legs of slim pants.
The pockets are the best part of these pants. The designers at Volcom use one zipper for both the front and rear pockets. The zipper pull is at the front, and wraps all around your body to the back. Amazing! You pull one zipper and open up two pockets. Genius! You can see it in the pics. Also, the curved zips at the front open up huge, hidden cargo pockets. Fantastic!
The material is soft, substantial, durable warm and waterproof. I've tested them in some pretty heavy Utah storms and have not had any problems with moisture getting through, even when sitting on the lift.
Did I mention they have Zip Tech so you can zip the pants to your Volcom jacket, creating a snowproof seal?
These pants are badass. You will be stoked.

Also, as someone else mentioned they really nailed it with the fit. I'm 6'4" and weigh abot 200, and wanted to be safe of length so I picked up a large pair... Baggy in the waist, but thats what the adjustable wait and a belt are for! Pants are not baggy, but not emo-fab tight either... just perfect
