Oo-la freakin' la, excusez-moi monsieur, please have pity on us lowly peasants. The Volcom Men's Stone Suit 08 elevates you to the highest class of society faster than you can say “Burp, I love PBR.” This Volcom polyester pinstriper matches a single-breasted coat with fairly narrow slacks (and you can get the three-button vest separately) to give you that slightly Bond-ish look, while at the same time foregoing the British snobbery and shouting a big “screw you” to the other suit-wearing stiffs at the wedding, grad ceremony, or funeral. Well, maybe not the funeral. *Sizing goes as follows: Small=30in pant, Medium=32in pant, Large=34in pant, XL=36in pant, XXL=38in pant. Decide accordingly.
Here's the thing, I've always loved Volcom stuff b/c it's so unique and people always recognize that. Which is why I got excited when I saw that they had introduced a suit that I could wear out on the town! Here's the rub though, I have a normal upper body and thick legs and in order for this suit to fit me like it should, I had to order two different sizes (XL for the pants and L for the jacket). And even then I would have to take it a tailor to have it fine tuned so that way it would look like it was right for me. Unfortunately, I had to return both of them.
I just find it weird that Volcom, a brand that prides itself on being unique and realizing we're all different from the pack, wouldn't allow us to buy the suit in separate jacket/pant sizes. This would allow us to have a suit that looks and fits exactly for us. For a company that size, I can't imagine it being a logistical problem either. So Volcom, what's going on? If you'd allow ppl to buy the suit in separate jacket/pant combos, sign me up! I'd gladly (re)buy one. But until then, I'm gonna have to find a suit that fits me and looks like it was made just for me (the way it should be).
But honestly, if you've had your heart set on buying this suit, don't let me stop you. It's a great suit that has a lot of attention to detail (it even comes with a ballin travel bag and a handkerchief!) And honestly, with all the other Volcom stuff I have, this little mishap won't dissuade me from keeping an eye on their gear.

There isn't any more size S,or M is there another website or store I can buy this suit at?Also would a size L fit me?I have 32'' waist and I usually wear 38r for the suits.
my husband demanded this suit for our wedding. he likes the steezy volcom asymmetrical seams. i think it may be a problem for when he gets it tailored, but we'll see. he is 5'8", 160lbs and got the XL because the slim fit is super slim, and we have climber backs in this family so some serious tailoring will be happening. i think it's crazy we bought XL. but it's a damn good looking suit. and hey, it's pretty cool to be getting hitched wearing volcom.
Between the current in stock sizes of XL and XXL, I'd say XL. The jacket sounds like it would fit you. The waist of the XL pant will be around a 36" waist. You would have to get them altered after purchasing. Be sure to pick up a Volcom necktie,Stone suit vest, fedora and a dank button-up to complete the kit, do this and you will be waking up in some different places.
i am a football player and got a huge chest i usually wear like a 42 or 44 in coat size any ideas on coat sizing i know for a fact i need a size 36 pant but i dont want to have to order and send it back caz it just looks soooo fly
I used to hate dressing up to go to parties and out on the town, but now, I dress up every time I have the chance! The Medium suit fits me perfectly (6'3" 160 pounds). It's slim, original, and very very cool. I cannot count the times that someone has come up to me and told me that they love my suit. Don't go to a department store and pay twice as much for something that makes you look like you stole from your dad. Buy the Volcom suit and look like a badass. Love it love it love it.
The XXL will fit you in terms of length, but you're only 220 lbs... You're going to need a huuuge tailoring job. Go to your nearest Men's outfitters store with the suit and you should be just fine.
What up Hooch.. an XXL is a gamble (you are right, the length might be too short), but it is worth a shot. I personally do not know how tall of a dude the XXL suit will fit.
Dogfunk offers an unlimited lifetime guarantee so you can order it up, try it out and if it doesn't fit you can return it for exchange or refund. No questions asked.
I'm 5'10" - 210 lbs. I needed the XXL suit; however, I required some alterations (pants hemmed, jacket sleeves and length) and these cost almost as much as the suit itself. It is an awesome looking suit, now though. Ordered the same size vest a couple weeks later too. Same size and was very surprised that the XXL fit more like a L or M....won't be wearing it (buttoned anyways).
This suit may be the best item dogfunk has 2 offer. It gives u that elegant night on the town look u want, while still keeping u looking like u could go out back and kick somebody's face in w the rest of the guys from Resevoir Dogs. Definitely a lady killer. I got soooo many comments on this suit. I'm definitely considering buying the charcoal edition after hearing everybody talking bout my black suit
Hi, you dogfunks! I wonder if this suit is comfortable to bear on a summer day. I see it is made of poly/rayon blend, so, would it bee too warm or the fabric is kind a breathable? I know "hi-tech" synthetic fabrics may be nice for summer, but am still having doubts about this particular suit. Could anyone share an opinion?
It's polyester so it will be cooler than say, a wool suit. I don't think it's cut out for landscaping but you should be alright if your most exertion is stuffing bodies in your trunk.
I purchased this suit to use for my wedding. I wanted something different than the usual black rented tux. I saw this suit and knew immediately that I had found the one. The best part is that I can still wear the suit whenever i need to dress up for those swanky parties My wife loves to go too. Sweet!
I checked out the hem of the Volcom Stone Suit pants for you. There is very little extra material for you to gain additional length. You will be able to get an extra 1/2 inch (1 inch MAX) inseam length. You can rock em capri style (ha) or just sag em a little. Problem solved.
This suit was more than I was expecting. Not only was it the most comfortable suit I've ever worn but I got a ton of looks and complements. With the Volcom suit vest I one-upped everyone while looking great. Bottom line, its comfortable, looks better than anyone other suit you'll see, and gets the ladies :-)
I know everyones body is different so im just curious exactly how this suit should fit. the medium was super small on me so i got the large, and the coat is really big. is it just supposed to fit pretty baggy or should i have it tailored??? i dont mind getting it tailored a little but i dont want to take away from the style and make it fit like every other suit if its not supposed to. can anyone answer for me??? thanks!
im about 6'1 with a 34 inch waste. so im thinking i should get the large size. but im worried the top wont fit. im not fat but i have big shoulders and i wouldnt want it to be too tight..what should i do?
Well the chest measure can help you more closely determine how it will work with your shoulders. Other than that I would just buy it and see. Dogfunk.com has a great return policy and will take stuff back no questions asked.
This suit is fucking godly. I'm 5'8 145, and the small fits perfectly, I have worn this out and its undoubtedly the most comfortable suit I have ever worn. Get it, you will not be left unsatisafied
it comes with a blazer, with a pocket square, and a bag full of buttons, it's pretty neat actually, its attatched to the suit, but you can take the buttons out and put something else in it. It also has the pants, and it has a little volcom hangar to hang them both, and a bag to cover it all, it's all pretty neat.
I needed the suit for an important networking dinner. It came in the mail, I put it on, it looked amazing, felt amazing, but there was a clean slice (hole) in the left shoulder. Looks like it was made by a sharp box cutter, so I had to send it back. Now the price has gone back up and I can't afford another one, and I had to wear my crappy old suit to the dinner.
Great suit, bound to drive the babes crazy(especially if you already reside in a loony bin. Looks good, fits great, and the service by these guys is phenomonal! Even the music while you are on hold is great( The good ole'Grateful Dead) and the captions under the goods they sell will make you want to wear depends after you read the captions!!! Bruce S. Evans
K i love the suit. awesome style. i definitely give it 5 stars. but i actually have more of a question than a review. See the title? That's what this suit puts in front of you. Not on you. But in front of you. Bare, goose-bumped, titties. Sure there's some cheap stitching here and there, but the overall hotness of the suit far surpasses the cheapness of it. Plus it comes with a fancy pocket square. Titties.
