Volcom Verified Welded Down Jacket - Women's - 2009

Finding a down jacket that’ll keep wetness out is about as likely as hearing your dad drop the f-bomb at dinner with your grandparents. Get ready, ‘cause Volcom made the Verified Welded Down Jacket with fully taped seams.

  • Welded down baffles and 10K-rated shell fabric block snowflakes
  • 600-Fill down warms your core all season
  • Mesh-lined underarm vents dump excess heat
  • Powder skirt blocks snow
  • Lycra hand gaiters boost wrist warmth
  • Fuzzy, tricot-lined hand pockets for frozen fingers

Bottom Line: Down without sogginess.

This jacket is super duper warm and also very stylish. I always get shout outs when I wear it. I love that it's longer so it covers all the way down to my upper thigh. I'd HIGHLY recommend this jacket to anyone who lives in a cold climate.

I got the XL just because I was hoping it would fit and no dice so I'm returning it, BUT it is a beautiful jacket with tons of great features and if it could be efectively tailored I would have definitely kept it!

I am thinking of buying this jacket and was wondering what size to get i am usually a med Burton but dont want the jacket to be too small. Are they generally sized on the small side, if so I am thinking of buying a large?

Hey Sian.
I don't have any experience with Burton, but in usual clothes I am a medium. My last snowboarding jacket from vans was a Large, but a Large in this one seemed a bit tight around the hips for me (I'm a pear shape), so I opted for an XL, which lets me layer significantly under it without it being uncomfy. However, I don't think the jacket is one to accentuate shape too much, seeing that it is a down jacket and meant for snowboarding. Hope this helps a little. :)

I love this jacket! The down keeps me super warm without the jacket being super puffy to hinder movement. The armpit vents are perfect for when you want to let some fresh air in. The Volcom zip system that lets you zip the back of your jacket to your pants is awesome. No more wet snow in your pants!
