What light would you use the smoke blue chrome in? Buy the way, I have had no better goggles than the feenom.

These goggles are dope. First off, they have massive lenses so you have a full field of vision. Also, the fact that these goggles come with two lenses is great, since one works well in cloudy and/or snowy conditions, and the other (the shiny orange one) is great for sunny weather. Thirdly, these goggles look sick. I mean, come on, who doesn't love neon? So if you're looking for the perfect (and steezy) hybrid of form and function, look no further.

Excellent Goggles

When I was first planning on buying a new pair of goggles, I wanted some that would be dark enough to make riding in the daytime comfortable, but not so dark as to fade out the light when riding at night. The fact that the Feenoms come with two lenses was perfect. The Fire Chrome lenses are awesome for distinguishing between a jump and a ditch on those usually blinding winter mornings. The Clear lenses are flawless when it comes to riding under the lights, and let you keep the goggles on your face when riding in somewhat dark areas. They are also very warm, and if you have a large head, the Feenoms are the goggles to choose. They can easily be adjusted to fit around a helmet also. You really cannot go wrong with this pair of goggles

Nice, with a small caveat

I'd give it a 4.5 if I had the option. I ride with Smoke Grey Chrome most days and have a Nightstalker Blue lens I haven't tried yet. These are extremely comfortable, provide excellent visual acuity, and great field of vision. Pretty much everything you could ask for in a goggle as far as that stuff goes. The star/half-star gets knocked off because the lenses have been fragile in my experience. I have owned two pairs with Smoke Grey chromes and both times have gotten visually noticeable scuffs within 10 days of riding without any major faceplant falls, dropping them on concrete, or anything like that.

Keep in mind, I do NOT baby my goggles (I pop through trees quite a lot and don't always bag immediately), but I have been similarly harsh on a couple pairs of Smith Phenoms and a pair of IS Design Formas, which have held up much better. It might be pure coincidence, twice having hit the goggles JUST right, but it having happened twice already, I'm a little wary. Replacement lens don't come cheap. All in all, though, these goggles fit my face the best amongst those I've tried, so they are my go-to set.

Yesterday i used this goggle for the 1st time "in field".
I was SHOCKED!They do fog i will say too much.Previosly i had a pair of Uvex Typhoon(mid class goggle, single lens)and NO problem at all with fogging.
I am really dissapointed because the weather was perfect bright sunny all day long and the goggle fogged frequently it drived me nuts. This is my 1st pair of high quality goggle..i don't know who to blame the lens, goggle(i weared them properly)....Cheers

Fire Chrome Lens
I stumbled across a lot of googles until i decided wich to buy.Oakley Splice, Crowbar, Wisdom; Smith I/O.
I was trying to get the best without paying too much, i was reading reviews one after another, looking for pictures of different goggles, different lens color and finally after about 1 month of checking out the sites i choosed VZ Feenom White Metallic Fire Chrome.
I expected them to be bigger(after seeing a lot of people writhing it), but they are cool.A little presure on the nose though.
Hope to help others in deciding

are the pin striped ones mirrored lenses? and it says bronze, thats pretty much gold right?

Responded on

The term "Bronze chrome" is a little misleading. From the outside the lens looks mirrored. From the inside looking out, the lens is a bronze color. The Bronze Chrome is an excellent sunny day lens that will also allow for good contract in the trees and shadows. Check out the photo below. I'm wearing an older Von Zipper Feenom in White with the Bronze Chrome lens.

Are these goggles too big for women?? im 5 feet 2 inches, and the Von zipper Chakra feel too small and smash my nose- also, not enough peripheral vision even though it claims to be a spherical lense? Please Help!

Responded on

The Chakra is a spherical goggle designed for smaller faces and ladies. If that was too small, then take a look at the Feenom or Dojo.

borrowed a pair of these for about three weeks from a friend who was away on vacation, so i feel qualified for a review. first off, the size was not an issue for my relatively small face. they were a little larger than my oakley splice, so they were a littttle large on me, but i enjoyed them greatly. Awesome periphs, similar to the splices. fit awesome with my holt helmet, was a match made in heaven. realllllly love the white/gold metallic color. nicest looking lens ever, even better than oakleys fire irids that i have on my splice. so overall, yes i would recommend this to a friend, because they are straight up amazing. love em.

Feenom like WHOA

I've only used these goggles a few times so far, but have used both lenses and I really don't think I'll get a different pair until I bash these to smithereens. I used the Nightstalker blue lenses here in Utah while we got the 5 feet of snow over the weekend (yes, I'm bragging), and they absolutely slayed it in the blizzard conditions...like x-ray vision slayed it. Then soon after using the fire chrome lenses for bluebird days, I couldn't be more stoked. For those of you who like your eyes mirrored so you can check out that crush of yours on the lift without them noticing, it would be perfect. But the functionality is what's important, like protecting your eyes from the sun so you can stare at them at dinner later...not like a creep.

A good lens for day and night? That stays mirrored in the daylight?

Best Answer Responded on

that is a combination that is almost impossible to find. ill break it down for ya. in order for a lense to be mirrored it has to have a relatively dark tint, and therefore is bad at night. but why do you want a lens that does both? these goggles come with an extra lens that has a lighter tint for night time. and they are really easy to swap out so that should not be a problem. but overall, no lens can be mirrored in day light and be good at night time. its really not possible. smoke pink is a good mid light lens like for sunny days and when its snowing, but its not good at night. good luck man, peace.

Ok im very interested in these but i have a few questions.

1. Will these fit with a bern macon helmet?
2. The smoke pink lense, is it good at day and night? and how much can you see through it from outside
3. Its between these and the dragon rogues based on my previous questions i want goggles that i can use day and night so is this goggle with the smoke pink lense or the ionized dragon lense better for that?
thank you

Responded on

Here are some answers for you.
1. Yes, these goggles should fit that Bern helmet. With the goggles on, it looks like a pink chrome. People should be able to see your eyes.
2. Smoke Pink is a good mid-light lens. It is good for sunny days, and snow. Not great at night. It has a 35% light transmission. The Von Zippers come with the Nightstalker blue bonus lens, and I recommend using that lens at night...that is what it is made for.

Hope this helps

IF you scroll through the wall you see that i have had questions about these goggles and then finally bought them. I love them! The love in definitly look good on guys and girls. I get atleast one or 2 comments a day from either random people on the bus or just riding the chair with random dudes who love them (mostly chicks). The nose part is a little loose for me but its not like wind gets in or anything. Maybe its just so soft and lite that i am not used to it not feeling like there is nothing on my face. Seriously i forget they are on all the time, almost to the point where it isnt funny any more

I replaced my electric eg1s with these and i get better vision with tehse and they are light on the nose so they fit really comfortably.i have the white and gold chrome and it looks awesome. they NEVER fog on the hill unless you like sneeze in them but even then they would clear in seconds. awesome goggles

I got these goggles last year in the black and white shown in the detail views. They look sick and are super comfy. The bonus lens is also a nice touch. Not having to dish out the cash for another set of goggles/lenses for different conditions is sweet. Fit really well with the R.E.D. Munity II helmet.

Huge goggles

The Von Zipper Feenoms are one big pair of goggles. They've got a ton of peripheral vision and are quite comfy. They haven't fogged on me and keep my face fairly warm. The extra lens they came with is nice as well. I definitely like the option of buying additional lenses for various conditions. Also, I wear glasses, and although these aren't OTG goggles per se, they work very well over my glasses and are quite easy to slip on and off. So the biggest issue for me with these goggles is the nose gap I have. I know other people with fairly low nose bridges haven't had problems with them, but I still have a small gap when I'm wearing them properly. I can sag the goggles down a bit to close the nose gap, but then they're not quite as comfy. This is a small issue, but may be important for some people. Also, my helmet is fairly large, and when getting the goggle strap over the back of the helmet and loosening it completely, it's still just a little snug. Not uncomfortable, but snug.
