I currently have the Feenoms that I bought before last season but only have the yellow lens and it was way too bright during sunny days last season. I got on here to buy the replacement polarized lenses and noticed that for $15 more (free shipping for over $50) I can get a full new pair with a bonus lens. My question is is the fire chrome lens going to give me enough protection on sunny days or am I going to end up wanting to order another lens? I live in Western Colorado so it's sunny more often than not.

Responded on

The Fire Chrome lens allows about 17% visual light transmission. The darkest lens which is the Bronze Chrome allows only 13%. This lens option should be perfect for your bright blue bird days.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Was looking for a good mid-level goggle; low and behold, the Feenom goes on sale! Why pay full price, right?! My girl digs them quite a bit. I'll be snagging a pair for myself this year as well. We also do quite a bit of night skiing (up at Mt. Hood Skibowl) so the yellow bonus lens was just that, an awesome bonus. Heh!

She's got an entire season on them now (about 35ish days on the hill) and they are still in near perfect condition.

Can I wear my short-sighted glasses with the goggles?

The Feenoms are not listed as being eyeglass compatible; I'd recommend looking at a different model.

Not recommended.

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

They look great and are very comfortable but they fogged up horribly while ski mountaineering some steep country in a storm, when I needed them the most.
My main complaint is that the moisture was between the two layers of the lens, so I couldn't even dry them out. They did not dry for the remaining 5 days of the trip. I'm sure if I was at a resort I could've dried them out indoors but that wasn't an option for me so they were dead weight.
The lens also scratched very easily while in their bag inside my pack with no hard, sharp objects in with them.
Not durable or functional, can't recommend. My friend had better luck with her Oakleys, I've liked older Oakleys so I'll probably be trying a pair of them next.

If there was moisture between the lens, you may just have a defective lens. I'd send them back to VZ. Check out their website and hit the warranty button.

Love these goggles! Great fit for a small to medium face. I wear them with a POC helmet and they fit perfectly. No fogging issues and very comfortable.

VonZipper kills it

Bought a pair of these like 5 years ago and they're still running strong besides a few scratches on the lenses. I finally caved and bought a pair of fishbowls that I havent gotten a chance to use yet but the feenoms are a lot more comfortable. If you have a small to medium face, these goggles will be perfect

Hands Down, Fantastic

Five years ago, I got these goggles as a Christmas gift. One year later, I moved to Jackson WY and started riding 100+ days a year with these goggles exclusively. I stocked up on some different types of lenses (The Feenom has a hilariously diverse selection of replacement lenses) and would swap them out as needed for low light, sun, fog, whatever.

I eventually wore through the strap, but because of the construction of the goggles, all I had to do was rivet the strap back onto the plastic frame and I was good to go again within one week (took a long time to build up the motivation to go to the hardware store).

I'm still wearing them daily, even after 100+ days a year, every season since I've owned them. These aren't just the best goggles I've ever owned, I have to say these are the most reliable piece of snowboarding equipment I have ever owned.
