The MegaWarrior holds your arsenal of gear as you wreak adventure the world over.
Just as SUV's get bigger, so does the carrying capacity of this caged beast. The weather resistant MegaWarrior Basket can carry all the gear required for epic adventures with its mammoth dimensions, 52”x48”x6.5”, and fits mid- to full-size SUV's best. Universal mounting hardware fits round, square, and many factory racks. In addition, you can easily attach bike, ski, and boat mounts directly to the basket. Secure your Mega Warrior to your rack with a Locking Bracket (our item no.: YAK0075).

Is the Mega Warrior too big for a 2006 Jeep Liberty? Should I go with the Load Warrior?
Your first step should be getting your roof dimensions, but having a rough idea of the size of your Liberty, I know that it's going to absolutely cover the majority of top of it. The Mega Warrior can be scaled down to essentially a 4" wider version of the Load Warrior by just removing 4 screws. It's nice to have the option of using it either way. A lot depends on your load requirements. The Mega holds a lot of gear, but the Load Warrior never quite seems to hold enough and requires some creative packing to keep the load lower in profile. I use mine on an Xterra, and in the Mega Warrior configuration, set behind my factory gear basket, it goes right to the back hatch. All that said, if your Liberty's dimensions can handle the size, and for what's currently a really small price difference, go with the Mega. And you'll definitely want to throw a gear net on top of it. Hope this helps you out.
Well worth it
Fits great on my jeep. I also added lights to the basket. Much better quality than the less expensive baskets.
I've been looking over your website...
I've been looking over your website and am trying to configure a roof basket on top of my Jeep Cherokee Sport (1999 model).
It has a roof rack (side bars) on now but I'd like to put the Yakima Megawarrior basket on top of it.
In addition, I'd like to carry a canoe (for family of 3) (looking at the Yakima Gunwale brackets/canoe rack for this) or 3 kayaks but not all at the same time.
I would, however, like to have the brackets or rack for the canoe always set up and the brackets or racks for the 3 kayaks already set up so I can mix or match.
My questions are: Can this be done with the Megawarrior basket?
Is the Megawarrior basket compatible with a 1999 Cherokee Sport?
What would be the best way to go about or, in other words, which other brackets or racks could I attach directly to the Megawarrior basket
to make all of this work the way I want it to?
Would the Megawarrior basket support one regular size fiberglass canoe or three lightweight kayaks?

Can the megawarrior fit on a nissan xterra?
Hey there, yes it will fit your Xterra.... the MegaWarrior Basket is compatible with round, square, and factory cross bars...
I have this exact set-up and it covers the entire factory rack behind the cargo basket up front. Works great though. My Xterra is '04, so unless they've changed from the oval factory cross bars, or Yakima changed their mounting kit, you need 4 rail grabs to mount on the two round factory side rails and a pair of 48"(min) Yakima cross bars. While you're building your system, I would also suggest you go ahead and pick up a set of 4 like-keyed lock cylinders.

Yes it will. Also, check the yakima website for more info, they have a neat program which selects the products that will fit on your vehicle, or click the "car rack configurator" link at the top of this page.
Fits well on my 4Runner. Easy to mount. Great for everyday as well as vacation use.

This thing is way cool! I had to get a roof rack to haul gear for a 5 day, 4 person backacking trip in Zion and this thing is going to work perfectly! Its pretty big on the Sub, but it fits well enough and will hold all of our packs.
This Yakima rack fit right on my 99 jeep grand cherokee out of the box perfectly. Doesn't get in the way of the sun roof and all the accessories that I already had for my car work with it. I put my bike mounts on and another perfect fit. Doesn't get in the way of the back hatch. This rack is sweet!

I see a mountain bike in the picture, is the mega warrior setup to carry bikes? Or is that just a picture.
There are options for mounting a bike onto this cargo basket, but you'd have to buy other things. so it's just the picture. if you set it up right you can have the basket and a bike rack or two, if your crossbars are long enough.

Is it possible to mount one of these to a Jeep Wrangler?
If you've got the right roof setup, then yes. If you have the cloth roof, no.
Your best bet would be to go to www.Quadratec.com for Wrangler products.
The Mega Warrior gave us the extra room inside the car that we needed. This along with the Destination 10 made for a smooth trip - Plus it looked good on the expedition.
